Disappointing experience, heard good things about Dukes. I had their chili dogs and was undsr whelmed. Chili was basically ketchup chesee was sliced and not shredded and hot dog was shriveled and over cokked. Fries were luke warm and unfortunately was the best part of the meal.

I’m am/was a Monroe kid. I used to mentor Benton Heights in high school for service program. We would always eat at Dukes. That was 1999-2003.
Fast forward. I’m 40. Ate here today and hot dang. Nothing has changed. Except if I remember right they only took cash back then.
Incredible burger. Perfect crinkle fries. Fast and polite staff. Felt like I never left Monroe. Thanks for the nostalgia.

Great little burger joint for typical grill food in a converted gas station from 1951. But the owner is serious about not using your phone while you are there! If you can't help yourself, you better go elsewhere.

Finally made it. This place has been on my saved list for two years. And it did not disappoint.
I had to have the Bologna Sandwich which was perfect. My wife had the cheese burger which she enjoyed. The fries were good but could use some seasoning.
The service and atmosphere were top notch. Very friendly and I loved the decor.

Duke Grill is hands down my favorite spot for burgers in the area! Open since 1951, it feels like stepping back in time the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and full of old-school charm.
Be prepared to wait during busy times since seating is limited, but it’s well worth it. The food is always fresh, hot, and made to order, and you can taste the quality in every bite. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and courteous, which makes the experience even better.
