Most shops were closing, but a quick search led us to El Paisa Auto Repair—open until 8pm! I called and spoke to Gabriel, who didn’t hesitate to say yes. He prioritized us, took us in without delay, and had us back on the road in just a few hours. His kindness, responsiveness, and willingness to help in a pinch were truly exceptional. The Berry Sangria was excellent. The Longhorn Steak was tender, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The Mexican street corn was very good and the mashed potatoes were average but no complaints.
Pam was our server and was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was great because the music wasn't too loud and the tv's were not too loud.

“I’m not in Monroe often, but when I am, stopping at Alice Jules is a MUST! The drinks are consistently delicious, the service is quick, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming every time I visit.

Their dog-friendly porch is a huge bonus for me! It’s such a great spot to relax with your pup and enjoy the atmosphere (and a pup cup!). It is clear a lot of thought and care has gone into creating a space that feels both fun and inviting.

Kent and Melody truly set the tone. They go above and beyond not just for their guests, but for their team as well and it shows in the overall experience. As a small business owner myself, I really appreciate the level of intention and hospitality they bring.

“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. Communicate with them clearly, and you will not be disappointed.🤘”

“I love Mom and Pop diners. Knife and Fork might be the best I've been to so far. The atmosphere reminds me of the interior of a train car with four rows of tables separated by a barrier with two rows on each side. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. The food...oh my goodness! We ordered two of their super breakfasts (two eggs, two pancakes, sausage patty, two pieces of bacon, grits or hash browns, includes you beverage) for under $11 each. We also ordered their veggie omelette with hashbrown (or grits) for under $8! The portions of grits and hash browns were half the size of your plate and so perfectly cooked. I LOVE grits so I am picky about them and these were amazing. Not too thick...not too thin. The pancakes were wonderful. Cooked just right with a slight sweetness to them even prior to syrup (which they offer sugar free syrup, which is a huge win!). We were discussing how it was easily a better breakfast than iHop and Cracker Barrel. We can't wait to come back for dinner soon! Please check this place out!”

“I went last night for cocktails with my daughter in law before attending a local production downtown. . The Bourbon selection is off the charts. Then there’s yet more choice for use in cocktails.
Love the vibe and decor.
My only recommendation would be to replace the amount of large rectangle tables suitable for big groups, and have more comfy seating conducive to smaller groups.
(One table was full with a wedding party admittedly, but aside from that it was mostly groups of two or three.)
Just not sure it needs as many of those.
We sat at the bar which was fine, but we would have chosen a couch if available.
There was live entertainment which again was so good. Perfect match for the atmosphere. ( I can’t abide rock music in a cocktail bar).
If there were more couches and cozy armchairs to soften up the room it would be a full 5 stars for me.

I ordered the Hot Honey Lavender Latte and the Hot Honey Almond Milk Crafted Press, and both were smooth, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Such a pleasant surprise. This place specializes in baked bread products. The location is to take out only, and it does not offer sitting. The best way to get something from them is by checking their menu online and on social media.

My wife and I usually order baked holiday treats, especially pan de jamon (ham stuffed bread). It is fantastic!

Wife and I were very surprised when we first came in contact with the cashier, and she actually had a pleasant attitude. Next, we grabbed our plates and headed to the buffet. The food had just been brought out. Normally an issue at these stores, the food sits there too long, so I figured it was just stroke of luck with them just bringing food out. So anyway, we got our first plates, and OH MY GOD, that first bite took us back to what Golden Corral was in the 90s!! This food was AMAZING!! Including the mashed potatoes that another comment said tasted bad. I counted at least 3 times they brought fresh food out of the back. We were there on a hour lunch. So yes, they kept food fresh! All the food was great! And our server….on point with everything. We didnt have one empty glass, and dirty plates didnt stay on the table long at all, she was also very friendly! I dont know whats with all the comments bashing this place, but our experience today was beyond what we hoped for. THIS is the way all Golden Corral stores need to be!”
