“If you asked me a few weeks ago if I would recommend this place, I probably would say yes. We usually never have any issues here but this past Saturday was terrible. There weren't many people inside which was nice but the hostess was so focused on her phone that she didn't see us come in. One of the waitress asked her if she helped us yet. I believe the owner took our order which she got wrong. I'm allergic to gluten and the Philly cheese was on a regular bun and not gluten free. She told me I spoke to quietly and didn't hear me. WTF? She heard me say my order ( Philly, meat and cheese, with fruit) but she didn't hear the gluten free part? I asked my daughter if I said it just to make sure and she said I did. Being a vegan is a choice, being allergic to gluten is not. I'm not sure if we will come back. She didn't even apologize. One of the other waitress was very nice about it and apologized.”

Love the vibe and decor.
My only recommendation would be to replace the amount of large rectangle tables suitable for big groups, and have more comfy seating conducive to smaller groups.
(One table was full with a wedding party admittedly, but aside from that it was mostly groups of two or three.)
Just not sure it needs as many of those.
We sat at the bar which was fine, but we would have chosen a couch if available.
There was live entertainment which again was so good. Perfect match for the atmosphere. ( I can’t abide rock music in a cocktail bar).
If there were more couches and cozy armchairs to soften up the room it would be a full 5 stars for me.

“I had the eggplant parmesan. This is the first time I have it crispy ! The tomato sauce ! thick and delicious, I am still thinking about it a week after ! The French fries were out of this world, long, wide, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, perfectly golden. I actually took fries from someone else's plate :) I hope to be able to go there tonight with my son, he loves home-made style italian food and sauce. The sauce reminds me of the old italian place near Bi-lo that was there 10 years ago, citrusy slow simmered tomato sauce... that one ! oh...”

“The sushi and sashimi from here is really good. My fiance really liked the Takoyaki and the hot tea was a good pairing with what we ordered. We got the sashimi sampler, a Boston roll, cucumber eel roll, Alaska roll, spicy crab roll and spicy tuna roll as well. We both had the flounder platters, and yes their prices have gone up a little bit, but it was well worth the money and our waitress was on top of things, she made sure we had tea when we needed it, extra napkins, and tartar sauce. Before this I guess it had been a little over a year since we had been there because the last time we were there our service wasn't that great and the fish was a little greasy but this time everything was just perfect. When the fish is cooked as great as it was last night, you guys have the best fish within a hundred miles of Monroe or maybe even further out than that so keep up the good work!”
