I had previously given this location a four star rating on a different visit, but recently I went and the pork meat(carnitas) was disappointing. When I arrived at home and ate the meat I was unsure if they had a new cook or if the meat was spoiled. I had to throw the meat away because I could not eat it, there was something very wrong. Excellent tortillas, but in the butcher shop they should be a little more friendly because they are not attentive at all, which affects them compared to the butcher shops of the competition, even at their prices it is more expensive.

I was in town for only a week and tried many Hispanic restaurants in Monroe. This was by far the BEST! In fact, now it's one of my favorites nationwide! They are very friendly and welcoming. The barbacoa is tender and moist and their tortillas are made fresh. If you're traveling to Charlotte, make sure you visit Carnitas Barbacoa!
