“Way better than the bigger places in Monroe because they give you like 4 different salsas, cheese dips complimentary for your nacho chips when you go sit down. You only get 1 cup of salsa at their competition. And large potions too!“

“El Texano is located at Five Points' intersection in Monroe. The restaurant is small inside with booths and tables along with sitting outside. I went there with a co-worker for lunch. We sat down and were greeted by the waitress who took our drink orders and also served us chips and salsa. We ordered the guacamole dip. It was absolutely made to perfection. It was freshly cut up avocado with chopped onions and diced tomatoes served with chips, delicious! I had beef burrito with beans. It was a huge flour tortilla with beef and cheese rolled up with melted cheese and red sauce put on top. One burrito is enough. It will fill you up. The other order was a taco, enchilada, and beans. Once again, the taco and enchilada were filled with beef. Everything we ate was freshly made and tasted ? delicious. The waitress was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Amazing food and great service. Will definitely go back, but next time, try breakfast.“

“Location can be deceiving, but don't let that fool you. Food is good, brought to you in a matter of minutes, servers are attentive, overall a pretty good experience. The carne asada tacos are stuffed nicely. 3 of those can tame anyone's hunger; and the tripas tacos are superb. Be careful with the salsas, they're hot. My favorite was the green one.
Parking: Parking spots are limited at front of building, due to adjacent businesses, but parking lot is pretty big.“

“This place is definitely a favorite to get warm tortillas! And a delicious barbecue with rice, if you don't feel like cooking on Sunday this can be a delicious and economical option! You can even buy your sauces right there, without having to get out of your car on a rainy day??✨️“

“I really can't say enough good things about this place. It was late December & the wife & I stopped by as we were travelling to Dollywood. We hoped they were open because it was winter & normally Mexican restaurants are warm. They were closing when we got there but they let us come in. They made us feel welcome, fed us chimichangas & this one waiter even took my wife to the back and taught her the meringue she said! They were so gracious, even teaching me a little Spanish, as we were leaving, they kept yell something "tu madre." It sounded like slang for chimichanga "Chinga" I think they said. Later down the wife said it meant "bring the mother back." It's totally a family atmosphere & you won't regret it! Tell them Puto sent you, that's the nickname they gave me and they shouted it as we drove off!“
“Absolute terrible customer service at the food truck. No signs with form of payment however went to pay for food and demanded either cash or a “tap to pay card”. Had a debit & credit card but claimed the machine was tap only. When asked if there was a sign stating either cash or tap card only, was told no he doesn’t have to have a sign posted…. No good for business in the least bit. Never would have ordered if you had a sign posted!!!!“

“A review for those that don't know about the Monroe Mexican community. If ever if this are, make time to stop by Taqueria Romero's.Amongst the better taquerias I've been to. The food is very good, the service is very good and the ambience is a clean with plenty of seating. My drink was very refreshing and not overly sweet. The tacos were delicious, not greasy and very generously served with the usual salsa verde, Pico de Gallo lime and jalapeño slices.Absolutely recommend if looking for an authentic taqueria experience.“
