“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. Communicate with them clearly, and you will not be disappointed.🤘“

“I automatically give any breakfast place with Corned Beef Hash an extra star, but my rating would have been 4.8 anyway.
If you're looking for fancy go elsewhere. This place had burned out lightbulbs in old chandoliers, water stains in the drop down ceiling panels and be careful when you sit on the benches they have no padding.
HOWEVER, eggs were made perfectly to order, the basket of biscuits were amazing and the white gravy was divine.
They not only had corned beef hash, but it was amazing.
The coffee was surprisingly good for a diner that opened well before Mr. Starbuck started roasting his first beans in the 1970s.
I dare say the best southern breakfast food in Monroe NC, and a beautiful view of Tractor Supply across the street.

“I’m not in Monroe often, but when I am, stopping at Alice Jules is a MUST! The drinks are consistently delicious, the service is quick, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming every time I visit.

Their dog-friendly porch is a huge bonus for me! It’s such a great spot to relax with your pup and enjoy the atmosphere (and a pup cup!). It is clear a lot of thought and care has gone into creating a space that feels both fun and inviting.

Kent and Melody truly set the tone. They go above and beyond not just for their guests, but for their team as well and it shows in the overall experience. As a small business owner myself, I really appreciate the level of intention and hospitality they bring.

“Looked for a sub place and decided to try this one based on a few recent reviews. Called in the pick up order and the young man was courteous and reviewed my order before hanging up. This place is located in a regular strip mall and nothing remarkable about the inside. At first, I noticed that there wasn't anyone there at 6:00 pm, so was a little concerned. That being said, my order was just being packaged within the 15 mins they quoted. The young man was nice and confirmed my order. I took our meals (cheesesteaks, 1/2 lb cheeseburger and grilled chicken all with a side and drink.) We all liked our meals. I recommend trying this place for a not too fancy but good place to get a bite.“

“Love this place especially when it rains. You see I work in the construction field and when it rains I have the day off and get to have a sit down breakfast. The waitresses here always have a smile on their face, are very friendly and the service is normally quick. The food prices are from my opinion are very reasonable and the quality of the food is off the chain. Eat here once and you'll be back.“

“I would like to share my experience with Jade kitchen 2 since me and my wife moved out here. It’s been very difficult to find some decent Chinese food in general being from New York and Philadelphia. It’s really hard to find Chinese food that taste like how it does up north. I will say since trying almost all of the Chinese food restaurants out here in Monroe, and the surrounding areas Jade kitchen 2 is our new go to spot. I definitely would recommend the house fried rice, chicken, wings, sesame chicken, wontons, crab rangoons, and the eggrolls. I haven’t tried any of the other menu items, but I’m glad I found this spot. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant inside is clean. Give them a try and let me know what y’all think.“

“I placed a catering order of Salmon, Flounder ,Zucchini and Squash. Ben Helms at the Monroe location was so accommodating and helpful. His team prepared all the food and it was fabulous, seasoned to perfection, on time and did not disappoint. I will use Showmars in Monroe for my next event. So happy, I made the right choice, everyone enjoyed everything absolutely delicious.“

“So, I left this same review on Google, but I feel it needs to be seen in more places! Golden Corral in Monroe, NC, thank you for giving us that taste that most Golden Corrals have lost! Wife and I stopped in for lunch on a work trip. Honestly we had lost all hope in Golden Corrals, but something made me choose this one today. Wife and I were very surprised when we first came in contact with the cashier, and she actually had a pleasant attitude. Next, we grabbed our plates and headed to the buffet. The food had just been brought out. Normally an issue at these stores, the food sits there too long, so I figured it was just stroke of luck with them just bringing food out. So anyway, we got our first plates, and OH MY GOD, that first bite took us back to what Golden Corral was in the 90s!! This food was AMAZING!! Including the mashed potatoes that another comment said tasted bad. I counted at least 3 times they brought fresh food out of the back. We were there on a hour lunch. So yes, they kept food fresh! All the food was great! And our server….on point with everything. We didnt have one empty glass, and dirty plates didnt stay on the table long at all, she was also very friendly! I dont know whats with all the comments bashing this place, but our experience today was beyond what we hoped for. THIS is the way all Golden Corral stores need to be!“

“Had lunch with a party of 16 there on Sunday after church and want to commend a job well done by our server, Lincoln. He was great!! Always had a smile on his face, everything come out as order, very attentive to our large group and great service all the way around. Steak was cooked perfect and everything else was great. But the smile and pleasant service from Lincoln was the best. Thanks Lincoln for taking great care of our large family!!!“
