We decided against another drink because the music was not fitting for the atmosphere and was obnoxious at best. Need to play soft relaxing music.“

“Karaoke Thursday was awesome. Several very talented singers were in the house. The draft beer selection seemed extensive however several of the options were unavailable. Surprisingly there were no seasonal options such as pumpkin or Octoberfest beers. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks filled throughout the evening. One low point was the food offerings. We ordered several items and everything seemed to be frozen and not freshly prepared in house. Specifically the chicken strips ordered were of good quality however were processed frozen strips. The burgers are angus grade according to the menu but are frozen. One positive note is they have tater tots. All of the food received was hot and prepared as expected. The prices for the food and beer are reasonable. Overall. A good time and a fun time.“

“This is the best restaurant I have visited in several years. Our server was a gem. She was knowledgeable, caring, and a lot of fun. My wife, daughter, and I have very differen tastes and yet we were all happy and raving about the food. The menu was not long but there was great variety. My wife loved the wine she had with her steak. My truffle risotto was the best risotto I have ever had, and my daughter loved her lobster mac and cheese. I only wish I had left room for their desserts. But there will definitely be a next time. Great restaurant for a special occasion.“

“I only got curbside takeout tonight but it was amazing as always. I ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches w/ coleslaw and vinegar based-Eastern NC BBQ sauce. The potato salad here is amazing. Not sure what is in it but I have loved potato salad since I was a youngbuck and this is some of the best I have ever had. My girlfriend got a 3 side plate w/ green beans, fried okra, and cornbread. She loved it. She also got the peach cobbler and thought it was amazing. I highly-highly recommend trying City Barbecue if you are thinking about trying a new place. I will absolutely be back. I live less than a minute from the location I go to.“

My main complaint is Shika the girl who answers the phone to take your order has a getto attitude problem!!!! Why is she answering the phone? I do not understand because as the first contact she is not friendly but just rude!“

My 10 year old son ordered the Mac n cheese with ribs and said “daddy, the food is amazing, I’m giving this 5 stars… and he said “our waitress is the best in the world” which we relayed to her. Christa is top talent and your establishment benefits having her apart of it. Anyone reading this, ask for her, she works part time on the weekends in the evening, you won’t be disappointed.
