“Love this place. We always enjoy sitting at the bar because the bartending service is exceptional. Ethan is not just a bartender but a mixologist of sorts. He made us some really tasty cocktails for our birthday and loves what he does. Next time you go there sit at the bar and ask for Ethan to make you one of his old fashions. It was really good.“

“I had the Island Ribeye with asparagus, she had the Cedar Baked Salmon. With a glass of white wine and a "Perfect Manhattan", it was certainly a night to remember. Great spot!“

“I had a wonderful experience last week at my local Chex. My wife had ordered a family meal but changed her mind at the last minute and placed a wings (only) order with fries. I did not know this when I went in to pick the food up. I told them that I was expecting to get a family meal. But, instead of charging me extra for the fries and lemonade, the cashier gave them to me at no extra charge. I told her she did not have to do that, but she said since I was a regular customer, it was no problem. So guess where I will continue to go for wings in the future! 👍🏾 You just can't put a price on awesome customer service ♥️“

“Loved the food! Not a complaint just feedback... Love the atmosphere in the parameter of the dining area but the middle feels out of place because it has such bright lighting. If they could dim those just even a little the whole ambiance would change and I bet people wouldn't talk so loud either. Overall though it's a great place for dinner, lunch, or just drinks.“

“I ordered a Double Deluxe burger with a side of cheese curds and Diet Coke.
It was a really good burger, tasty and juicy. The fried cheese curds were mediocre with a bit of an aftertaste, but still not terrible.
Will eat here again!
Overall, I give the experience five stars, but in my hunt for amazing burgers, this was a solid 4 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“We had a surprise birthday party for a family member today!! What a great time. We had use of the Queens room, The food was great as usual but I need to bragg especially in our server Jeanette. She was amazing she handled us all with efficiency and grace!! I know we drove her crazy but she was amazing!!!! Thank you John’s place for a wonderful time and again kudos to Jeanette !!!“

“Karaoke Thursday was awesome. Several very talented singers were in the house. The draft beer selection seemed extensive however several of the options were unavailable. Surprisingly there were no seasonal options such as pumpkin or Octoberfest beers. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks filled throughout the evening. One low point was the food offerings. We ordered several items and everything seemed to be frozen and not freshly prepared in house. Specifically the chicken strips ordered were of good quality however were processed frozen strips. The burgers are angus grade according to the menu but are frozen. One positive note is they have tater tots. All of the food received was hot and prepared as expected. The prices for the food and beer are reasonable. Overall. A good time and a fun time.“

“Honestly huge fans of the gallery since 2017. The steam house is amazing— everything cooked perfectly and seasoned simply. Not covered in butter (though they have 4 different compounded butters you can add if it’s your pref). Beef Wellington is individually prepared and perfectly rare/med rare. Not soggy at all which is so hard to do. Perfectly thin not gummy mashed potatoes- hint of garlic not in your face. Fresh veggie sides. Mushrooms were amazing. Old fashioned amazing (best bourbon selection). Just all around best meal I have had in a while. Dessert to go ❤️

“I had a VERY long day. At 10:30 PM I remembered Hickory Tavern's 50% off burger is today/Tuesday. Thankfully, I'm only 2 min away from the restaurant. Only 2 customers remained, and the employees were preparing for tomorrow. The manager and the staff was amazing!

“Happened to be in Monroe and, being a former WI resident, could not help but make a stop at Culver’s. Enjoyed their signature butter burger, Culver’s root beer and my favorite; deep fried cheese curds. All of them were awesome and helped me reminisce about my days in Cheeseland. I also could not resist the opportunity to enjoy some frozen custard and that days flavor of the day was chocolate custard loaded with cookie crumbs. Service was great; a friendly staff and they were handing out rubber ducks if you were willing to “quack”. There is a lot of variety on the menu including fish and chicken; baskets and sandwiches. There is also a great kids menu. If you’ve not experienced Culver’s, give them a try!“

“What an awesome way to celebrate retirement! We had a group of about 20 in the private room. The catered food was fantastic and our server, Ivory, was exceptional! We have always loved HT and having our retirement celebration there was perfect. So many people from our party commented on the great food and all plan to be back very soon. “Towne Tavern is our favorite local watering hole! The staff are super friendly and make the place, especially Amanda and Andie. The daily specials and bingo/music bingo give something fun to do. I work from home so getting out of the house for fun and hanging out with the locals is what it’s all about. We’ve been coming to the place for a while and think the food has been so much better under new management. Definitely check it out if you haven’t been!“
