We live in the area and this place never disappoints. Do expect to wait a bit because everyone loves it here. If it is busy, we put our name in and then walk across over the bridge to Dreamchasers to have a drink while we wait. Very nice small town bar & restaurant! A little tight on space but a good vibe. Service was very good. Food was very hot and tasted good. Must say the waiter did not describe the fish for fish and chips well. Said the fish is what "Florida restaurants serve it as fake grouper." As a Florida resident I can say we serve real grouper here! Still not a bad white fish. Would definitely try this place again!!

Maxwell's is a fantastic little spot in downtown Waxhaw. It's also very popular, which is great for the restaurant, but makes it a challenge when we wanted to have lunch today.
