“Honestly I love this place. I’ve went a couple times the past week or so and I’ve enjoyed every time. The head lady is sweet as ever and really knows how to make you feel at home. I usually get the carne asada fries, Jesus their good. I go for Greens and baked beans always, and they are good here; but would like to try other items. You can get banana pudding as a side.Banana Pudding... I get so frustrated with normal restaurants and their lack of quality, or if they deign to give me quality, to make me pay an arm and a leg for it. I try to treat myself to a meal here at least once a week, but often find myself going more. Excuse the poor food photography, but the picture below is a fresh housemade brussel sprout salad that explodes with flavor, and a grilled chicken sandwich perfectly cooked with a brioche bun, topped with caramelized Onions, Tomato Jam, avocado, mixed Greens Feta/Mozzarella Cheese Blend and Garlic Herb Aioli. “Captain Steve's has good food. Although it's a seafood place I always get chicken tenders and fries. I think I did get perch one time. It's something about the way they season there tenders. They pile it up. So much food for a good two days. Even when you dine it the amount of food is crazy... In a good way. If you haven't tried Captain Steve's in Fort Mill, sc or Harrisburg, please do. You won't regret it. Never had a bad experience. It's best to get there when they first open or you will be waiting on a long line.“

It is located in an old brick corner building in downtown Fort Mill with ample parking in the back. (front and back entrance) The inside is nicely done with booths, tables, and counter seating available. The service is fast friendly and attentive. They have a great selection of top end pub food. Consisting of burgers, other sandwiches, salads, and specials. I had the pastrami Ruben, and my wife had the BLT. It had fried green tomatoes on it. Our son had the California burger, and our daughter-in-law law had a steak salad. All were prepared perfectly and presented well. All that and very reasonable! Hard to beat. Check it out!“

“I was starving so I crushed a small plate of fried chicken wings, collard greens that were slightly spicy, and yams. Cornbread came with it and it was delicious. My plate was very good. I'd totally come back. Not sure if cause it was busy that they didn't have anyone cleaning the tables that were being used or to take out the trash that was over full. But I'd recommend that they have someone on the floor keeping track of that instead of everyone all hands on deck in the kitchen serving space. They needed someone to keep the dining area clean. But I went on a Sunday so I'm not sure if they keep better track of that on other days of the week where it might possibly be slower days for them. Love that it is a family run company as well.“
