“First time dining at Sweetwater, but definitely will NOT BE our last! Brought a party of 24 in for my wife’s birthday, and we had THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Our food was delicious, our service was EXCELLENT, and the atmosphere was PERFECT! We sat on the heated patio and had plenty of room for all of us. Literally could not have had a better experience. Thank you team!“
“Best place in Lake Wylie. Started going here last year and met some amazing people. The one that stands out the most is Heaven. She alway is in a great mood alway there to greet you and remembers your drink. Just that alone makes me want to come back.“
“Our first visit to Christophers was pretty goood. I had the French Dip with omion strings, she had the Southwest Chicken salad. Kids had Buffalo Chicken sandwich and a Wing Basket. Everything was good and hot and the service was great. Sorry forgot pictures.“
“The cook on 3rd shift is freaking awesome and handles 5 to go orders and my order which was 2 all star breakfasts as well as 2 orders for people dining in which consisted of 3 people each in the 2 tables all within a 30 minute time period and the waiter was on point with handling the orders and drinks and all in all great customer service and food in a timely fashion“
“Wonderful food and atmosphere! Really well managed and our server ASHLEY was tremendous. Didn’t even need to write down our orders for 7 people and got each one perfectly! Amazing assistance by other team members as well. From the hosts to the lovely woman working the cash register, a terrific service team. Thank you to all for making our family breakfast so delicious and enjoyable! We LOVE this location!“
“First off i truly like the concept of for every meal purchased a meal is provided for a child in an improvised country. Second their food and prices are good. You have about a dozen taco options with different tortilla options. You have various sides and nacho chip options. I enjoyed my food and time dining here.“
“Small space, but it is a great stop. They have alcohol specials daily. We went on Monday for half off glasses of wine. We originally stopped in to have a glass while we waited for pur Uber to the next spot. The wine, service, and food were so good we stayed for the evening. Russ was our bartender, and he was very welcoming and insightful. I wasn't hungry and looking for food but we shared some small plates and I could have eaten more food if we had time. Amazing place to go.“
“One of Charlotte’s hidden gems!! Family owned and operated for over 50 years. Friendly atmosphere, quick service and I can’t say enough about the food. Over the years I’m pretty sure I’ve tried most the menu and have loved every bite! It’s a great breakfast and lunch spot and you can’t beat the price!!“
“Jimmy & Kammy are amazing! Walked in immediately took my order only to be followed up with the other asking me what I needed. This was two nights in a row! Only reason I didn’t go a third was I showed up after closing. Extremely customer focused individuals who care about the people at their bar. Give them a raise those two are elite!“
“I’ve had many subs before but this steak and cheese sandwich with the fries took the cake. Everything is made to order to ensure that your whole order is beyond hot and fresh. If ever on lunch and in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.“
“The food here is incredible. We came for brunch, were seated right away. We had the Biscuit Bake and the Monte Cristo. It was soooo good, flavorful and savory cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. Can't wait!Prices are very reasonable too.“
“On this gorgeous Good Friday, we came for early Easter brunch and everything was top notch! Two words: cannoli pancakes 5/5Thank me later! The breakfast tacos, sweet potato fries *drizzled with honey *, mimosa and blush (prosecco and strawberry puree) cocktails were all fantastic. The decor is charming, the place was hopping and our server was lightning quick. I am already looking forward to our next visit.“
“I picked up my mom from CLT and I wanted a quaint little farm to table place... This was absolutely perfect. We sat outside in the back. They have a very unique decor inside and fun patio/outdoor entertainment area. The food and drinks were incredible. My mom got the seasonal dumplings 6 total, 3 of each type with a blonde local beer. Delicious!I got the seasonal winter gnocchi in a light sauce with the duck which is probably the best gnocchi I've ever had. Then, got the black pepper butter cream cake and it was good but more dense than expected. The most recommended and popular desert is the sticky toffee cake though.Parking: Parking is street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to enter the restaurant.“
“Honestly I love this place. I’ve went a couple times the past week or so and I’ve enjoyed every time. The head lady is sweet as ever and really knows how to make you feel at home. I usually get the carne asada fries, Jesus their good. I’ve also had their old Philly steak sandwich and it was absolutely amazing (not sure if they still sell it) anyway I would definitely recommend the place. It’s small but really cozy and their food is really good. You won’t regret it :)“
“Am I pushing it to give a place five stars? Yes. I should really go 4.5. What I can say is that this is not only the best BBQ is Gaston County, it ranks near the top in the State of North Carolina. I eat BBQ across the country, and this is worthy of mention anywhere.Meats are nicely smoked, and moist, the sides are great. So far I've only had brisket and pork, both were outstanding. I go for Greens and baked beans always, and they are good here; but would like to try other items. You can get banana pudding as a side.Banana Pudding... Theirs is good maybe 3.5-4.I'm very picky about banana pudding. I always get some if available - a BBQ restaurant is judged by this - , and I make banana pudding also. They could up their banana pudding to move their overall rating to a solid 5-Star. I liked it slightly thicker, creamer... I like Nilla WaffersI'll post pictures later. I need to go back and take some.“
“Gem of a restaurant as Lindsey and staff took care of us as regulars which this place has plenty of regardless it was our first visit. The coffee is spot on excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. Spotless for a busy place. Entertainment of planes landing within 20 seconds of seeing them from the windows. Reasonable prices and excellent food. Great find for us to take granddaughter.“
“First experience was lovely. I got pork chops, carrots roasted in duck fat, and a kale salad. The chops were better than any steak I've had recently, really delicious, and even had grill marks on them ?. Will be back to try the buffaloaf.“
“Usually go to the other location but wanted to make a trip out to celebrate a special occasion. Ambience was great, atmosphere was clean and proper, and food was on point. In addition we had absolutely the best server who took care of us and our children. Couldnt have asked for a better experience“
“Absolutely love this place!I came in this morning, for the first time, in a hurry and I wanted to grab something quick and a coffee and the cook whipped me up a bacon egg and cheese sandwich in record time and had me out the door!I liked it so much I came back for a late lunch and was greeted by a very nice man at the register who turned out to be the owner, Jimmy, and we had a great chat.I will definitely be back!“
“I came randomly today and it was the best decision I made. The owners were knowledgeable and passionate about their business and made me feel like home. I literally was the only person in there for a few hours and I enjoyed every peaceful minute of it. I will be retuning and getting a membership. Thank you for the amazing service!“
“If you're looking for great food, large portion size for the money, and great wait service, this is the place to go. This is an older establishment, so the interior could use updating. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but you can usually find a spot. Overall, a fantastic place to eat and that's what it's all about, right?“
“I honestly feel ashamed that I haven't written a review sooner. This is my favorite place to eat in the world. I get so frustrated with normal restaurants and their lack of quality, or if they deign to give me quality, to make me pay an arm and a leg for it. This restaurant gives me fresh, REAL, incredibly flavorful food every single time for an incredibly reasonable price. I try to treat myself to a meal here at least once a week, but often find myself going more. Excuse the poor food photography, but the picture below is a fresh housemade brussel sprout salad that explodes with flavor, and a grilled chicken sandwich perfectly cooked with a brioche bun, topped with caramelized Onions, Tomato Jam, avocado, mixed Greens Feta/Mozzarella Cheese Blend and Garlic Herb Aioli. The first bite sent me to heaven, the second bite made me realize what a fool I've been for not writing a review sooner. I love this place and the chef here deserves every award for quality food possible. The staff are also very genuine, patient, and intelligent people, which is a rare combination to find in the world anymore. Thank you sprouts!!“
“The service and amount of good was awesome! Little local place that has great southern home cooking. Only negatives: change your ceiling tile from leaks you had for sometime now and miss the later dinner hours on the weekend. But overall, it's one of our favorite local spots. Easy on your budget, too.“
“A very pleasant surprise when we had to spend a night at the airport hotel (Windham) next door. I was expecting the usual mediocre Mexican fare, but the food here was really well made and the menu is huge. Don't be fooled by the backwater location and 1960s look. Miguel's is top notch.“
“Captain Steve's has good food. Although it's a seafood place I always get chicken tenders and fries. I think I did get perch one time. It's something about the way they season there tenders. They pile it up. So much food for a good two days. Even when you dine it the amount of food is crazy... In a good way. If you haven't tried Captain Steve's in Fort Mill, sc or Harrisburg, please do. You won't regret it. Never had a bad experience. It's best to get there when they first open or you will be waiting on a long line.“
“We went here for a drink and a snack before we went to the movies in the area. They have plenty of parking. The staff were friendly. The place is small they had about 10-15 tables in there. It's wasn't busy when we went. It's a nice little spot to grab a beer or drink and chill. Their menu isn't crazy. It's nice for like tenders and other snacks just like bar food to snack on. The place was nice we will be back.“
“So I have loved this place since they first opened. This Sunday was a huge disappointment. The chicken sandwich was tuff/rubbery, bun was burnt, and the lack of sauce was disappointing. I am writing this off as a one time fail because this restaurant has been so good for years. Just hope the someone needs this and address the kitchen issue. Also fries were soggy and not seasoned.“
“The food the service the chef the bartender or server all were incredible. I just can't say enough passionate stuff about this place. Once you come here you'll be hooked. Outstanding service outstanding cuisine a Chef with a real “
“My husband and I came here because nothing else in Steele Creek opens late but I’m so glad we did… Our new favorite bar!! Food was awesome, and drinks were great(ask for Holly)! The owner blends in with the staff and was so attentive… yes definitely coming “
“There hasn’t been a meal I’ve gotten at Carolina Family Restaurant that wasn’t absolutely delicious!! Maria and Gus never cut corners and each and every time I’ve ordered from there my food had been consistent and delicious! You have to try the Greek salad with chicken (the dressing alone is amazing), the big burger and fries and the meatloaf, mash potatoes and cabbage (omg) Maria is gracious and humble and the waitstaff is so friendly every time! I can’t say enough about this restaurant.“
“If a foreigner visited and asked me to take them to a place that encompasses the fine cultural and culinary heritage of South Carolina, this is where I would take them. It is a national treasure that must be protected at all costs. I would lay my life down for this place. ? ?“
“Pub style food. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. Atmosphere of this establishment is very busy and loud. Tonight a few little children playing basketball running around near the pickup area for the servers. We have eaten here quite a few times. Service and food is consistent.“
“Great wings! There are several TVs for sports, a nice communal table by the bar (as well as bar seats) then a more dedicated dining room. The wings were excellent (beesting & Carolina gold bbq) as were the sloppy joseph (joe) nachos. The staff was super friendly and kept the beer and water glasses full. Nice selection of craft beer as well as domestics. Can't wait to return!“
“Monte Cristo was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Onion rings were top notch, as was my wife’s patty melt. Bartender Brandi is first rate. They could use a low carb beer option not made by Anheuser Busch. Plenty of parking and conveniently located.“
“A quaint little establishment with friendly staff and excellent food. Try one of their breakfast burritos! While there we noticed a lot of people coming in for pickup. Maybe it was the time we went, but the dining area was empty, despite appearing very inviting and comfortable (which it was both).“
“I got the chicken sandwich and the chicken tenders. The sandwich was so good! (Chefs kiss) but the tenders wasn’t that good, it had a funny taste I didn’t know if it was mushrooms or not. Over all it’s good food for the price, I’ll be going back and that’s all that matters lol 8/10“
“We are here from western Tennessee visiting our son and daughter-in-law. We went to Hobo's last night for dinner. The place is unique in several ways . It is located in an old brick corner building in downtown Fort Mill with ample parking in the back. (front and back entrance) The inside is nicely done with booths, tables, and counter seating available. The service is fast friendly and attentive. They have a great selection of top end pub food. Consisting of burgers, other sandwiches, salads, and specials. I had the pastrami Ruben, and my wife had the BLT. It had fried green tomatoes on it. Our son had the California burger, and our daughter-in-law law had a steak salad. All were prepared perfectly and presented well. All that and very reasonable! Hard to beat. Check it out!“
“A real dive, but in a good way. Definitely a locals bar - always the same faces, but still friendly to strangers. New owner (full disclosure - he's a friend of a good friend of mine) is slowly making improvements but keeping the divey character - which is a good thing. It's always busy but service doesn't suffer at all. Parking is a bit of a nightmare - the regulars often double park each other because there's not much room - but I've always found a spot.Parking: Not great, but there's usually something. Or park behind another car and just be sure to listen if someone needs you to move.Kid-friendliness: It's a bar. Keep your kids home.“
“I was starving so I crushed a small plate of fried chicken wings, collard greens that were slightly spicy, and yams. Cornbread came with it and it was delicious. My plate was very good. I'd totally come back. Not sure if cause it was busy that they didn't have anyone cleaning the tables that were being used or to take out the trash that was over full. But I'd recommend that they have someone on the floor keeping track of that instead of everyone all hands on deck in the kitchen serving space. They needed someone to keep the dining area clean. But I went on a Sunday so I'm not sure if they keep better track of that on other days of the week where it might possibly be slower days for them. Love that it is a family run company as well.“
“Fantastic spot to grab some food if you're visiting the Greenway! Surprisingly good selection. And you can't beat the view overlooking the Greenway, whether you sit indoors or out. Bring your kids. They can't play right outside the restaurant.“
“Quite a strange name of the place. Pelicans are avian of temperate weather zones. Snowballs are typically in a colder climate zone. So .. Mixing the two gives it a whimsical avant garde atmosphere. The kids love it. It's good.. It's a happy time and place. You must come here. Oh yes I dare say you must.“
“Whitaker's offers a delightful sushi experience right in the heart of Fort Mill. With a 5-star rating from the locals, it's clear that this place has made a positive impression1. The menu features a variety of Asian cuisine, including sushi bars and cocktail bars, perfect for those looking for a mix of flavors. Customers rave about the original sushi rolls and the good variety of flavors. The happy hour deals are particularly enticing, offering great value for money. One unique aspect of Whitaker's is their house-infused cold sake, which is a nice twist for those accustomed to hot sake. The ambiance is described as hip and modern, making it an ideal spot for a date night or a fun evening out with friends2. While the location can be quite loud, the quality of the sushi and poke bowls more than makes up for it, with many customers claiming it's the best sushi in the area. The service is also highlighted as being on point, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In summary, Whitaker's seems to be a fantastic addition to Fort Mill's downtown dining scene, offering fresh, flavorful sushi and a vibrant atmosphere. It's definitely a must-visit for sushi lovers and those looking for a lively spot to unwind.“
“I went for lunch and it was busy, but they had great service! I tried the chicken skewers meal, and everything was very tasty. This was a huge serving and I ended up having leftovers because there was so much. Next time I may try to get the mini entree instead, but I liked the combo of the salad, pita, chicken, and fries.“
“I had the Pull Pork Plate with fries and Mac & Cheese. It was surprisingly good. The service was great! The only thing I would have liked, would be a privacy barrier of some sort between the rows of booths. The wall of the booths only come up to about chin height, making for an awkward dining experience.I can't think of anyone that would like to sit and stare at stranger in the booth next to yours on the row directly beside of you while you're trying to eat. It's an easy fix, but obviously, their design team chose not to. I'm sure it impacts their sales to some degree. So, my advice ask for a table instead of a booth, which is contrary to what most would like.“
“Stopped for lunch on the way up to the Charlotte airport. Sat on the balcony/patio on the third floor, overlooking the river. The restaurant is in a cool spot, in a cool building. Our servers were pleasant, helpful and attentive. The food was all very good. The shrimp and grits and the chicken sandwich were the best of the items we ordered.“
“This is a really good place to stop by, their burgers and hot dogs are amazing! It's a family favorite at my house, at least 2 or 3 of is will stop by every week :) The decor is also really cool, I like to sit in a different spot each time we go so i can look at everything on the wall!“
“I went to celebrate my cousin's birthday. She plays the piano and sings on Thursdays. She was excellent and the atmosphere was really great! The food was awesome, and the staff was great also. I almost forgot, the most important thing... my food was temperature hot. ?“
“Hands down, the food here is the best. Excellent variety and a great value with generous portions. I have several favorites, I'm particularly fond of their Pork Carnitas, Mexican Stir Fry and they will make Chori Pollo even though it isn't on the menu (yet).Chips and salsa are fresh, their salsa is superb.Their tableside guacamole is the best...The seating area is very spacious and flexible for groups of nearly any size. The atmosphere is very inviting with a good level of intimacy for any occasion that might bring you to stop in...The servers are all very friendly. Ask for Taylor - she is the best.“
“I hosted my daughters bridal shower at Heirloom on 1/13/24. They did an amazing job from the start when I contacted David to start planning, to menu selection and all of the fine details. Chef Chris Davis did an outstanding job executing an upscale authentic Italian menu. The staff were terrific , on point and attentive. Everything was delicious and so well received by my guests, even the Italian New Yorkers approved! My entire experience was easy, seamless, fun and delicious. Thanks!“
“Sitting out on the dock by the lake while eating dinner makes this place great. Also the food is not bad either. I had the lakeside salad, with salmon (delicious).Ask while watching the boats come in and outKids enjoyed it as well. The menu can get pricey. Guess you pay for the view ?“
