“I went to Hobo's last night for a friend's birthday. We sat outside for karaoke. I have wanted to sing karaoke for awhile but I've always been way too nervous!! DJ Swin (please tag him!) did such an awesome job at hyping up the audience AND the singers! it didn't matter what your singing ability was he made you feel great about getting up there! People were being silly and having fun which is what karaoke is all about! So when my hubby asked me to sing with him I did! I got up there and actually had a lot of fun. We frequent the Foxhole often simply because Janet and David are some of the best bartenders around. It’s a mega personal size, great for pairing with other appetizers. Plus they serve breakfast all day and stay open until 2:00 am for those late‑night munchies! When I tell you that staff was simply amazing. We went with the two-egg plate with bacon, swapped grits for hash browns, and toast. The rye toast was legit and definitely the way to go. Eggs were over-easy and perfectly runny, just how we like them. The food was good. Basically what you’d expect from a classic diner and a great deal at $8.49 each. There’s also a bakery with lots of tempting options, and we noticed fresh, hot apple cider donuts as we were leaving… definitely going back for those soon! Overall, it’s a great fast-casual breakfast spot at a reasonable price. Plus, it’s always fun walking around and shopping afterward as the Peach Stand is full of local gems. 🍑“

“I stayed at this hotel after a delayed flight forced an overnight layover. I ate dinner at this restaurant and was so fortunate to be taken care of by Betty. I sat at the bar for almost 4 hours and she was so attentive to all guests while also being able to hold a genuine conversation with me. I went to the bar frustrated over my delayed trip but truly feel so grateful to have crossed paths with such a kind person so willing to share conversation and talk about life with a total stranger. The food was delicious, the drinks were wonderful, but it was Betty that made my experience one that turned my delayed trip around completely. I will absolutely make it a point to come back and order another drink and lava cake from Betty when I’m in the Charlotte area.“
