We moved here three years ago and started searching for local diners for breakfast. Charlotte is filled with many chains, so finding locally owned and run places has not been easy. This is a gem among gems. The outside is an unassuming brown building. As you walk in it is a perfect example of a 1960's diner including the old movies quietly playing above the counter with brown plastic stools. I visited this tiny restaurant early Saturday morning, 2/24, at 5:30 in the morning. I’d made a run to the airport and stopped for a bite to eat before a meeting and a long drive out of state.I was greeted by a cheerful woman, Shayna. She was welcoming, warm and engaged me with sweet conversation. Then, I received such a ginormous portion of food that I couldn’t eat it all. One of Charlotte’s hidden gems!! Family owned and operated for over 50 years. Friendly atmosphere, quick service and I can’t say enough about the food. Over the years I’m pretty sure I’ve tried most the menu and have loved every bite! It’s a great breakfast and lunch spot and you can’t beat the price!!
