I had been longing for real Mexican food and pulled off the main highway in Monroe, NC, at an attractive Mexican restaurant. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive. BUT, the food was TO DIE FOR!! The portions were large, hot and very delicious. The Mexican music was great, even though I don’t understand Spanish. I couldn’t eat it all and of course asked for a to-go box. I would wholeheartedly recommend El Vallarta for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine.

I have been coming to this Restaurant for over 25 years and has Always been 100% on Point! Had So many Birthdays Kids Birthdays,. Order for Delivery for my Kids Mom self, Hubby and my Parents of 85 years old 4 times a week!! However recently they have changed the ingredients on the refried beans, r Mexican Rice, Cheese Quesadillas, and so much more menu items. It’s basically Nasty and not the same!!!! Please go back to the original recipe and ingredients!! My Family is suffering without your traditional cooking!!
Our family LOVES El Vallartas! We have been eating there for over 30 years now, as our children “grew up” eating there weekly, which continues to this day. Very friendly managers/owners and wait staff, and the food is the best “Mexican food” in Monroe, in my humble opinion. If you haven’t been there yet give them a whirl, I believe you will be happy that you visited.
