Main Street bistro recently catered a conference I attended in Monroe. Not only was the food they offered amazing but the staff was very friendly and cordial. The egg salad and chicken salad finger sandwiches were incredible! Obviously homemade, very simple and absolutely delicious. Prime Rib was served at a carving station one night (all meals were buffet style at this event). I don't normally eat a lot of red meat but I asked the server if he could carve me some that was a bit less rare and he said absolutely. It was slightly pink and absolutely delicious! I was so glad I had asked for some. I grabbed some of the whipped horseradish sauce to have with it. Amazing! Highly recommend if your group is considering A catered event that you call these folks.Dietary restrictions: The first evening on the charcuterie table hummus was offered in addition to multiple crackers and lots of different veggies and fruit. Egg salad finger sandwiches were also offered. Folks who were gluten-free and or dairy free could've also found something to eat at the buffet.

Hidden gem in downtown Monroe NC! I found out about them on social media and I'm glad I decided to give them a try. Very small restaurant and they recommend that you make a reservation via phone - something I didn't see on their website. The blackened grilled salmon (one of tonight's specials), French onion soup and crab stuffed mushrooms were the big hits of the night. VERY TASTY!!! The only critiques I have (and this is me being nit picky) was 1: the green bean side. I personally like crunchy green beans. That said, they were still well seasoned. And 2: my fiancee ordered spaghetti and meatballs and she felt like the noodles could have been seasoned more. But that's just how we do it at home. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions of the food and service which was spot on IMO. If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and go check them out. You'll thank me for it!

This place was perfect for meeting up with family. Good food and the service was great.Parking: Street parking was available on a Sunday afternoon but not sure what it would be like on a busier day.

We visited Main Street Bistro for the first time tonight. We shared the stuffed mushroom cap appetizer, I had the filet — I’ve paid more money for steaks that were not near as good — and we shared the bananas foster dessert. Everything was exceptional including the service. The meal was not cheap, but was high quality. I received very good value for the money paid. We will be back in the future.I copied this photo from a Facebook post I saw, but the steak looked just like this (I had different sides than those pictured) and it was delicious.

Went to try the Bistro on a Wednesday at 6:15 pm and they shut down well before the 8pm closing time.

The food was exceptional. My son in law and I had crab stuffed shrimp Wow. Daughter had fettuccine Alfredo and said best ever. Hubby enjoyed chicken Parmesan and loved it. First time but surely won't be the last. Owner even stopped by table to say hi. I'm very impressed. Monroe needed a fabulous place like this to enjoy.

My first time here as I'm new to the area, and I love this place! I met a friend here for brunch this past Sunday and was immediately greeted by the staff and our waitress, Michelle, who was amazing! I ordered the very delicious biscuits and gravy, and my brunch partner ordered the Western omelet, which he found very delicious. The atmosphere in this place is really nice, and I love the holiday touches with the Christmas stockings that lined the inner walls of the building. My friend and I sat for hours after we finished our meals and just chatted away and we felt very welcome to do so (I promise we won't make this a habit haha) The cookies were okay, but I loved the mini muffins to start. I will keep coming back!
