Incredibly slow. Food was bland. They tried to charge for tap water.

Came for lunch and pastries with my aunt. She had the torta de pollo (chicken sandwich) and I had el desayuno ranchero. The waitresses were very kind and the service was good. The menu was mostly of images, with little description of plates. It was also mostly in Spanish. The food didn’t take too long to come, and you could tell that it was handmade by order. It was delicious; next time I will take a photo. The torta was gigantic; both meals were priced well based on portion.
I asked the waitress a few questions about the different pastries, and she explained them to me, each by name. As we checked out, our waitress gave us a few galletas (cookies) to try. They were delicious!!
I can’t express enough how much kind the staff was; it seriously left an impression. That alone will have us coming back. We are excited to try a few other things on the menu. :) Gracias a ustedes!!

I did not go for the sweet bread. I went to have brunch. I had pupusas with coffee. Service was prompt, food was good, and I definitely be going back.

The food is very expensive and they still sell outdated foods. I have had fish several times that seem to have been left in the refrigerator for weeks and terrible vegetables.
That place is more of a restaurant than a bakery. I went for food but I was not satisfied with the food.
They show new ownership more focused on the food and I have to say it was amazing and delicious. Great selection as well.
Update:They seem to have a new owner, honestly, I go more for the food than the bakery, I wish they had more fresh bread. The place and prices are ok, their food is delicious.I give one star just because is the only “Guatemalan” bakery I’ve seen in Monroe and because their service is not so bad. But, my experience was awful. I’m sure the bread is not made fresh ever day, which it wouldn’t be such a big deal if it didn’t tasted like cardboard when I tried it, and literally never in my life I had a COLD out of the fridge donut, horrible flavor, even the chocolate tasted nasty. Charging $2.50 for a non fresh made bread is ridiculous.

Good place for breakfast!
Good Guatemalan food!! And good staff ?!!
Make some delicious Pupusas!
Excellent service and very delicious food ???
I order 1 or 2 times a week but the last 3 times they barely give the complete order. Today they gave me a broth de rez with barely any rice and a piece of bone-in vegetables aside. I asked for corn tamales and they gave me 60 dollars of rice that I don't think anymore spend here, the owner better dedicate himself to his vitamins
