I had hope for this place, trying to find a decent bagel. Not only was it extremely overpriced but mediocre at best. $41 for 2bagel sandwiches, a chicken sandwich croissant and some garbage premade Mac salad and 3 drinks. I'm mad at myself for wasting my money. Expect to leave hungry and disappointed.

Do not expect a friendly interaction with the staff here. Very rude with super bad attitudes. If they get something you order wrong, they will blame the mistake on you. They also coughed on my food. They really need to learn how we treat others in the south or go back to NY. ✌️

Poor service- was left un-greeted for a solid 10 minutes. Breakfast bagel was bland and dry.

Bagel was great. Tuna, not so great.

Love the food, HATE the service and attitudes! Family is sick so I didn't need/want to go stand inside for 20 minutes so I went online to place an order but the system was down. I called, lady answered and put me on "hold". Could hear her tell her co-worker I needed to place an order. She then came back to the phone and said "we don't accept orders over the phone" to which I replied "but I can't order online" and then explained the situation. She just kept saying "We can't take phone orders...". In the time she argued with me she could've taken my order!! What's the deal SV? So, I went online and ordered from the Weddington location....Intold you the food was good!

The best bagels around and the staff is super friendly!

I went at 2:00 pm on a weekday. There was one other customer there before me. The 2 workers let me know that the grill was off, so no hot items. I ordered a white fish salad on a toasted bagel and it was clear the male had no idea what that was. He had to have been new. He needs work on his customer service skills. The sandwich itself wasn't worth anywhere near the $12+ I paid. No offer of tomato, lettuce....and they wanted to charge me for cream cheese!? What? Who eats white fish salad on a bagel without cream cheese? They said they'd put cream cheese on after a bit but made it like they were doing me a favor. I could go on, but I'm going to stop and just say that I won't personally go to this location of Poppiseeds again. The one in Weddington is MUCH better, although both places are very overpriced.

The perfect treat. Love the flavored cream cheese. Poppyseed staff is always warm and welcoming upon arrival. I enjoy my daily coffee and bagel here often.

Ridiculously slow service. Zero pep in step and zero rush to get the line moving. Food is usually good. Unfortunately there is no other option yet for bagels. Someone else please open a proper NY bagel shop that moves quickly.

This place is out of hand with the prices. The quality of the food and service has declined but the prices keep going up. I will not be going here with the prices they currently have. It's a shame this place use to be pretty good. I found a place along my travels in SC the bagels are just as good if not better. The prices are better the customer service is outstanding. I would rather eat a frozen bagel fro SC than pay the outrageous prices and poor customer service here.

Their bagels are out of this world!!! Not to mention their specialty cream cheeses!! This is a place the whole family loves to visit time and again!!!

Stupendous! Love the food quality (ESPECIALLY the eclairs!!), And the people who work there are really nice! They provide great service as well. Definitely recommend this for your choice lunch or dinner. ;)

This restaurant has two locations. Matthews (Austin village) and Indian Trail (sun valley). While I live 1 minute from the Matthews location, I drove 12 minutes to go to Indian trail as it's nicer, newer, and much cleaner.Pros: great bagels, great prices for the breakfast, decent space indoors, large patio outside, extended deck with benches overlooking the little reservoir pond outside, great hours (open early and on holidays). Love the tuna/chicken salad on a bagel with the macaroni salad on the side.Cons: service (think "no soup for you"), never masked during pandemic (either location), charge $0.25 for refills, up charge 4% but "discount" if using cash (definitely skirting that credit card rule), bugs (gnat/fruit fly) in the desert case today (though they do have a 96% sanitation score). For these reasons I usually wouldn't return but damn these bagels are good (hence 3 stars).

Love the bagels here. They have a variety of food for breakfast and lunch but the bagels are my favorite.
