The sweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt location off Highway 74 between Monroe and Matthews has quickly become our go-to spot for frozen treats. As longtime residents of the Matthews/Mint Hill area, my wife and I are very familiar with the Matthews location, but it tends to get overcrowdedâespecially on weekends. The Monroe location, on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air. Itâs easy to get to right off 74, has ample parking, and the inside is clean, well-organized, and far less hectic. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and the overall experience was just so much more relaxed and enjoyable.
During our visit, I went with a small bowl of the lactose-free sorbetsâraspberry pomegranate, pineapple, and limeâand I honestly canât say enough good things about them. Each flavor was vibrant and refreshing. The raspberry pomegranate had a great tartness balanced with sweetness, the pineapple was like biting into a fresh slice of fruit, and the lime was the perfect zesty finisher. I really appreciated having quality non-dairy options that didnât sacrifice flavor or texture, which isnât always easy to find at self-serve places.
My wife chose a combination of the classic chocolate frozen yogurt and the same raspberry pomegranate sorbet I got, and she absolutely loved the contrast. The fruit and chocolate pairing is always a favorite of hers, and this time it really delivered. She even mentioned that the chocolate here might be the best sheâs had from any sweetFrog locationâit was rich, creamy, and had a strong cocoa flavor that didnât taste artificial. We both agreed that the flavor quality at this location was top-notch, and it made the visit feel worth the short drive out of town.
All in all, this sweetFrog in Monroe stands out not just for the quality of its yogurt but for the stress-free experience it offers. We didnât have to deal with long lines, loud crowds, or limited seatingâjust a clean, welcoming space to enjoy some of the best frozen yogurt and sorbet weâve had in a while. If youâre in the area or even coming from Matthews, itâs well worth the short drive down 74. Weâll definitely be back.

We needed to find a place for a church group meeting. The party room worked great. The manager was super friendly and helpful and even gave us a discount on our yogurt. Wet friendly people and very tasty desserts!

Usually I highly enjoy this sweet frog but, today I was disappointed. Online it said it was no weigh day. But, came in I was still charged full price because I hadn't been sent a text about it being no weigh day. I even pulled up the announcement I had seen online that had specified today's date saying it was no weigh day. I was told that since I hadn't received a text it meant it wasn't no weigh day. I wanted to speak to a manger to see if something could be done because the only reason I had come in was because I thought it was no weigh day but there was no manger on duty.
