I've eaten here before and this place makes outstanding food. But even more impressive to me was when I hired this team to cater lunch for 200 people. Everything arrived early, fresh, hot, and in containers ready for my serving set up. They catered to every special request and worked with us as our plans changed. The service, and the food was excellent! I highly recommend going with Taino if all you need is a quick lunch or if you need to cater a large gathering. 50 thumbs up for the team at Taino!!!

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico with family that has been in the restaurant industry for many generations; this restaurant has the most authentic flavor I have experienced outside PR. The beans!! That sofrito flavor!! The alcapurrias!!! Try it all!!! Outstanding service and everything spotless!! Don't skip this place! *I was only able to get 2 pictures because my husband and son devoured what they ordered

Brings me right back to the Caribbean, and especially Puerto Rican ?? flavors I am used to having lived in South Florida.Great atmosphere, friendly service, authentic flavors. My food was salty for my preference, but that's just from my perspective. Will be back, again and again!

Had me some arroz con gandules and masitas de puerco with maduros. Everything tasted home made. I really enjoyed it! Food and service were great! It's a no brainer if you're looking for authentic Puerto Rican food. I highly recommend the place.

Thank you for being in business as a native Puerto Rican it’s hard to find a good Puerto Rican spot here in the Charlotte area or near. My family had an event in Downtown Monroe and we came here afterwards and had a great experience food was delicious flavorful and fresh great portions as well.Only thing I would say was there was no more sweets at all when we get got there around 4 on a Saturday. Also no coffee is sold here which I find strange is Puerto Rican’s love coffee other than that everything was awesome!! :)

This place is absolutely spectacular! The food is incredible consistently. There has never been a time where the food isn’t delicious. This is real deal Puerto Rican food made with love and attention. If this review saying the food is awesome isn’t enough to sway you to try it, the people who work here should be! Every single person who works here is lovely, kind and always smiling. Both the owners are always so upbeat, and they absolutely will remember your face after a few visits. There’s something super special about being greeted in a way where you know you are remembered. It’s those small details that make such a huge impact. I’ve had days where I’m just not in a stellar mood and I’m coming to get some comfort food, but once I arrive all the positives vibes and good overall energy just transforms my mood. Try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

I loved the food and the pleasantness of its staff. My husband ate the chicken fricasee and he relished it. My sister said in law had the pork sandwich and not only a huge portion, she said it was the best pork sandwich she has eaten. Me, being a vegetarian was very pleased to eat their rice and beans since it has no meat. The fried yuca was crispy and delicious. I highly recommend it if you do not live in Puerto Rico and craving it's good.

The food is always hot and tastes amazing! True flavors from Puerto Rico. They have the traditional fritters as well (Empanadilla/Pastelillos, alcapurrias, etc). They partner with a local baker that has the best pan soba'o, quesitos, pastelillos de guayaba and tres leches. The staff is always friendly and fast.

First the people who work there are fantastic!! The place is very clean and friendly! The food is authentic Puerto Rican and delicious! I know as I am Puerto Rican ?? and love the food. It reminds me of my abuela and my mom cooking in the kitchen when I was young. I will be back, looking forward to trying everything on the menu!!
