Absolutely the WORST place in Monroe. Staff is unprofessional. Food isn't good. Manager is a unprofessional woman who doesn't know how to use any kindness.

The last few months since ive tried stopping in this bar for a quick bite or drink I am unable to get served. I’m super polite, patient and a great tipper but there’s a bartender in there now that has decided for whatever reason that she doesn’t want to serve me unless I go in there with my boyfriend. It’s ridiculous and I try to not leave bad reviews but I think the owner should know that their staff ignores selective people from making purchases. I wish they could just be professional and do a good job with everyone and not just who they feel like serving. I sat at the corner of the bar last Saturday and patiently waited while nobody even acknowledged me but still thought whatever, I don’t know everything and it wasn’t until someone came to the bar from a booth to get a drink, stood right next to me and was greeted right away and a girl took her order. I just quietly got up and left. This was atleast the 5th time this has happened. There’s no point in going back it’s just a waste of time and not my idea of a good way to spend my time or money. I’m sorry for whoever has to pay the bills just for the bartenders to treat guests like there uninvited.
Food was good waitress was nice but my issue is it supposed to be 18% gratuity for 4 or more tell me why they did it for 2 people like i wouldn't notice and I asked the waitress why she said its the weekend people be drunk and forget to tip hmmm so they take advantage of their patrons and for the record i tip decent but that's wackkk

Food here was pretty good the one time I was actually served but the atmosphere wasn’t welcoming at all when it comes to people of color. I thought maybe I just caught one bad waitress having a bad day but my subsequent 2 visits resulted in me feeling the same way. Got denied service at around 11:30-12 at a bar that doesn’t close until 2 am as me and my wife watched other patrons enjoy their drinks and meals in our face. Along with a couple walking in right behind us and being seated. (This I witnessed in my car trying to figure out where to find food.) Tried one last time just to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought id call and just ask if the kitchen was open and I was promptly hung up on. Assuming it was an accident I stayed on the line and I could hear the lady on the other end ( I’m guessing they have a land line) continuously pick up the phone and hang up waiting for me to end the call. For me this was the last straw. My previous visits I only went to have a good time and eat some good food but I was greeted with foul energy and passive aggression. Giving pretty much “whites only” vibes. I wouldn’t advise anyone (especially people of color) to visit this bar.

Jackie and Beka have been an absolute delight. They worked under less than desirable conditions and still made the experience absolutely wonderful. Both were very attentive and made sure our post game/birthday celebration was wonderful!

This place has come a long way since its bleak beginning during Covid. I have been numerous times since it opened but it has recently taken on a new beginning.
The new management staff is awesome; and albeit hard to find really good, hard woking, dedicated individuals, everyone else been great as well. (There will always be the bad eggs that find their way into every establishment and sometimes it takes time to weed them out)
The food is prepared fresh when ordered and always comes out hot & fast and the prices are really good. [I.e.: $8 for a good size burger & fries in my opinion is a great deal!] We’ve had the shrimp (grilled & fried, both delicious), wings, tenders, burgers, and the black & bleu chicken sandwich is by b-f’s favorite!

Tried Tavern 74 for the first time today. The server was very friendly and always attentive. The manager was kind with a request I made. Wings were great! Will be back.
I showed up with 3 people in the bar. I waited 15 minutes and the red headed bar tender completely ignored me. I left because I expected better service after being referred to the bar. She would have gotten a 20 dollar tip had she been cordial. I found a great spot down the road at iron thunder! The bartender is wonderful here!!!
