Only a breakfast buffet on Saturday at 11am, was disappointing but food was okay. The place needs a serious cleaning, the air conditioner had clumps of dust hanging from it. The waitress couldnt remember the full drink order for 2 people and then couldnt find the check in the system with only 4 active tables at the time. No wait staff were wearing masks either. I wanted to walk out, but was starving and dealt with it, but definitely wont go back.

We enjoyed our lunch experience at this gem in Monroe, NC, We entered the restaurant and were waited at the entrance to the dining area. The dining room was very busy, our server Pam noted us at the door and came over to greet us she told us to take any table we wanted. We picked a booth in the back of the dining room. Shortly after Pam came to the table and left us menus to peruse. She took our beverage order. After serving our beverages she took our orders. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and my wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Pam did well to suggest a cup of soup and I ordered it, a cup of cheese soup. I lived in Minnesota in the 70's and cheese soup was a staple of restaurants. Soup was served quickly after ordering and I enjoyed the velvety texture and flavors. Our entrees were served quickly and I loved my bacon cheeseburger, a 8oz juicy and tasty burger. We both had cole slaw as our side, homemade and very tasty. My wife enjoyed their rendition of a cheesesteak. As we departed we stopped by the exhibition kitchen and I spoke with the Chef/owner. He is an Army vet and learned his trade while serving our country. During the covid lockdown they along with local citizen sponsors took meals to the 3rd shift hospital staff at Atrium Hospital in Monroe. We recommend The Monroe Grill for a good breakfast or lunch experience.

Best food for breakfast. If your looking for a change on a place to stop for breakfast. It does Take awhile to get food not fast food so when you order don't be in a hurry. So worth the wait. Try the breakfast taters amazing flavor. Super friendly and laided back friendly country folk.

Delicious BQ sandwich &fries. Young lady named Sabrina served me well with a bright smile. Quiet atmosphere; very quiet, I was the only customer in the place. Amazing, given the quality of food and service. NO MUSIC, which I appreciate, and though they had a TV playing, it was on local news station with volume turned wayyyy down. Good.
