Went to smoke pit this morning after running errands and arrived at 10:38. I wanted to see the pan sizes before catering a full 20+ celebration of life dinner for my wife's mother who passed away last year. I saw they open at 11 AM, but the door was open and slightly ajar. I went inside cautiously and said good morning as I entered to not scare anyone. A waitress came up and we spoke and she said let me get the manager. She came back pretty quickly and I was pleasantly told to come back when they are open. Now I drove 15 miles to get there, which isn't all that bad, but still the manager could have seen what a simple request I had. Whether the waitress transferred the information I told her or not is unknown, but I just wanted to see how big a half pan and full pan were. This should have taken a minute or two, but now rather than buy $300 plus worth of catering; I went to Costco and I will smoke a butt and cook sides myself for my wife's family. And the girls are creating a team to make desserts. Guess I things happen for a reason. Go team dessert!

The website is misleading. The pick four which one might assume is for a least a couple of people is apparently for just one person per customer service. Enough meat for 5 people but supposedly just comes with a single serving of cornbread and a spoonful of sides. Response to questions are confusing. Food is mid. Wouldn’t recommend or return.

My favorite BBQ place, and they also have an amazing watermelon tea. The sides are very tasty my favorite being the deviled egg salad.

$30 for 1 pound of Brisket and I got nothing. I will never come here again. Please stop spending your money here. You can feed a family of 4-5 people across the street at Hathaways. Never again will I get Smoke Pit in Monroe NC. Horrible 😎👎🏾

Terrible service. Manager ran me over with his truck. Didn’t want to call police. I went there to get some food, server was so rude, she spit in my food, and then threw my drink at me.

I went there with my local friends for the first time. It exceeded my expectations. I got the 4 bone ribs with Mac n cheese and a side salad with cornbread. I just wish I had taken a picture. Everything was fantastic. Ribs were great. I tried the mustard sauce, yummy. The Mac n cheese was awesome. The side salad was more than just lettuce and tomatoes. It also has cheese and cucumbers. The dressing was good. The cornbread was the bomb. Moist and yummy with a drizzle of honey on top. It definitely deserves a return run when I come back in town.

My wife likes this place better than I do. That said, there's nothing really wrong here except that the food is a bit greasier than I personally like, and I think their prices are too high for the typical BBQ restaurant. Beyond that, we've always ordered food to go instead of sitting down in the restaurant and the service is always friendly when I go pick it up.
