This is the best BBQ I've ever had, and I've been to Kansas City.
I had the a great experience at the Smoke Pit. I placed a Togo order and a very respectful young man who took my order named Sheldon. He answered all my questions about the menu. It was a quick and great experience. I will be back again!

Unfortunately, it doesn't taste like there's any smoking going on here. When we make or order smoked meat, it has been smoked on a smoker. The meat here is cooked on a standard restaurant grill. After placing my sandwich order, I was asked what sauce I wanted because they cook the sauce into the meat on the grill. Huh?!? I said I'd figure out which sauce to add to my sandwich after the meal was served. Well, there is no flavor in my sandwich aside from the grill grease taste on the bun (from toasting). They rely on bottled sauce for any flavor. Unfortunately, the potato salad was the same- flavorless. Disappointing meal.

The Smoke Pit is delicious! I got the Large Hickory Pulled Pork plate with Mac 'n Cheese and Fried Okra! Sam got the Pulled Chicken plate w Mac 'n Cheese and Sweet Potato Casserole! All of it was great and Claudia was so sweet!THANK YOU SMOKE PIT!!! We will definitely be back soon!!!
