This places is soooo expensive and for no reason. The cheese platter is a joke and not worth $30. The cheapest wine on the menu is $26 a bottle! There is no one here and it’s Saturday...if that doesn’t tell you something than I don’t know what to tell you. The services is good. They just need to lower the price. It’s wayyy to expensive for what it is and I’m ok with spending money on good food/drinks. Not happy with they places. This place could be so much better and make a lot more money/ improve this area. Do better Bacchus! This isn’t a super fancy area...calm it down.

Stay away! Poor food, poor service.

Great Beer Now

Mooresville, North Carolina is located just a short drive north of Charlotte and is known for its small town charm. I was here for business and like all business travelers, my colleagues and I needed to take a break for food and adult beverages. One place we stopped for an early, pre- dinner food and drink experience was Bacchus Wine and Tapas.

Finding a place to eat and drink that is cozy can be somewhat of a challenge. Most restaurants keep the interior plain and simple, with limited drink options and foods that are often frozen and thrown together and served quickly. One place in Mooresville, NC that is good when you want a more intimate setting and light bites is Bacchus Wine and Tapas. I visited Bacchus in the early evening with a group of people and the first impressions were positive. The interior at Bacchus features soft lighting, tables & chairs, and even a fireplace for a more intimate feel. The setting makes you feel at home and I could see how this would be a good choice for a date night or similar outing. Bacchus specializes in small plates and beverages with an emphasis on wine. I’m not into wine, but I was relieved to discover that they serve several locally brewed beers. This was enough to keep me happy. The small plates of food were just right, too, as I was only slightly hungry when we arrived. With the food, I really enjoyed my meatballs with diced potatoes on the side. The food was tasty and went well with my beer, so I got another helping. A couple of these small plates, along with locally brewed beer, was all that I and the rest of my group needed. We visited early in the evening, but we were so satisfied that we didn’t even need to go to dinner elsewhere. The attentive service was yet another plus. Mooresville is a small city but it does have several standout places for food and drink and Bacchus Wine and Tapas is one of them. Food and drink can get a little pricey here, but the service and quality make it deserving of a visit.

I hated my experience at Bacchus. Our server was rude and condescending. Further, she did not take our order correctly. The attached pictures (plus 2 glasses of wine) show what $63 will get you at Bacchus. I won't be returning, which is truly a shame.

Great food and setting

Such a bust. Service was slow, servers were sloppy and disinterested, they were out of what we wanted. Surely their days are numbered. Don't waste your time or money here.

A cute little place in the langtree area. We went on a weeknight and it was not busy. Found the menu to be a bit overpriced for what you get ($16 for small portions of cheese and sausage). Unfortunately given a horrible stomach ache I suspect from the crab dip. Wine selection was nice. Possibly good for a date night but don't bring your big boy appetite.

Food and wine selection good. But we felt we were rushed out of there before actual closing time.

I am so disappointed... I've neen here a handful of times and it's always been good. Today the waitress could not answer one question about the menu. The chicken was rubbery and the Gnocci was mushy. Just awful !!

One of my favorite bars in the Mooresville area. It is a lovely place to grab a drink and a bite and listen to some good live music. They make one of the best Old Fashioned drinks I have tasted to date!

Awful service. $30 cheese had maybe an ounce of bad cheese. Ok wine and good music. If u want to eat as well, you will b disappointed !

What happened to this place? I used to love it, great little date night place. Went there last night for a quick meal of tapas and cartuccherie. Is it possible that slicing sausage and cheese can take 90 minutes to prepare? The "excuse" was a big table of 8. If your kitchen is overwhelmed by one table of 8, you've got the wrong staff. They had only 3 people on staff, one in the kitchen and two waitresses. The "owner" was in the kitchen and clearly frazzled. We had to leave before we got all our food (after 2 hrs) because it was that bad. The owner was losing her nut, I just wanted to get out of there. If you aren't staffed correctly, don't wing it. Limit the menu or close the kitchen. It was a horrible experience and clearly, we weren't alone.

Chef Joshua is the best! He really cares about cuisine and making flavor discoveries. Eat here and you will not be disappointed. Very welcoming and friendly staff all around.
