Big Al's Pub & Grubberia

We don’t go to Big Al’s all the time, but when we do, it’s usually solid. Tonight , though? A complete train wreck, thanks to Amanda L., who might just be the least competent server we’ve ever encountered.

Drinks? Took forever, and when they finally showed up, it felt like she’d brewed them herself. But the real cherry on top? Our appetizers. We ordered fried mushrooms, but apparently, Amanda decided we’d enjoy them better as a side dish to our entrees. By the time they arrived (with our meals), the whole concept of an appetizer was as dead as Amanda’s enthusiasm for her job.

Speaking of enthusiasm—there was none. Amanda acted like waiting tables was a punishment handed down from the gods. Warmth? Nonexistent. Basic competence? Don’t make me laugh. If Amanda put any less effort into her work, she’d be moving backward.

Amanda, sweetie, maybe consider a job that requires less interaction with people and a higher tolerance for extended sitting? Professional statue might suit you. Big Al’s, we’ll come back because we know you can do better. But next time, let’s make sure Amanda isn’t anywhere near our table—or anyone else’s.

Got wings take out. Good wings. All 3 flavors hit. Nice staff. Cool spot. Def catching a game here in the future.

I visited the Mooresville location yesterday. Was greeted warmly and promptly seated. No wait time for service and, as always experienced at the Charlotte location, the food is also 5-stars.

First time visit, tried to use the online order and it wasn't working. Ordered the fried chix sandwich with onion rings and a dr pepper. The bun was way to big for the chicken and the chicken was tough as jerky and small. The onion rings could have cooked more. I had to go back in and ask for my mayo and some ranch. So I paid $14.+ for about 7 onion rings and a dr pepper. I was disappointed ?.

Great little spot for good food and lots of laughs. Celebrated my Birthday here with drinks, dancing and singing kerokie. Had a blast.
