This is not NC BBQ...which is nice to have a different style of BBQ. I've eaten TX BBQ and it was great to find a place with this style! Portions are big! I had the chopped brisket sandwich which was already big before I customized it adding the jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage! You'll thank me later. I've never like fried okra but this one wasn't bad that I'd have some...if someone shares. LOL the mac n cheese was good nothing special but still good....
Tried this BBQ for lunch. Must be on a quest for local BBQ since that seems to be where we choose to eat lately. I had the lean brisket. It had a nice flavor and was tender. Sides were good. Others in our party had the pulled pork and BBQ platters. Generous portions. Sauces available at the table to try.
This place is the ONLY BBQ necessary...its so good. It's level ‘ I could never dine inside’ good. I’m saying that it gets messy, and this isn’t Tony Romas- no washcloths. But, they have damn good food. Great trade, I just know to get it to go. By the time my family has smashed on ribs, pintos, corn brisket, and cornbread, everyone needs a shower.
