Eddie Z here again.my first visit to blue star grill today to try the fried flounder and shrimp with Cole slaw and French fries.the French fries were curly style and cooked oerfectly(we asked for extra crispy). The flounder and shrimp on the other hand were way overcooked and the batter thick and hard.I’ve cooked lots of melt in your mouth flounder and fluke and know it’s a quick frying process. The key lime pie was outstanding plus the cookies we were offered were outstanding as well. Great service and very clean!!! We will try lunch here again.

This was an absolutely incredible meal. I had the fried green tomatoes sandwich on a croissant and My Hubby had their chicken salad on a croissant. We had brussels sprouts and french fries on the side. Everything was amazing and the coffee was fresh and they even used real heavy cream for the coffee. They gave us a very pleasant gift at the end and we each got to choose a cookie. The owner of this wonderful establishment knows how important his customers are. Thank you for a delightful lunch. We would have liked to stay just a bit longer, but we had an appointment that we had to get to, but we will be back for certain. Jerry and Jill.

One of the best spots to eat! The food is amazing! If you are in the area (or wanna take a drive), this place is totally worth a visit. There are several healthy options including gluten free options! Prices are very fair for quality and portions and service is wonderful.

Incredible! So many gluten free options, marked clearly on the menu. And FANTASTIC gluten free key lime pie! The owner, Nelson, made sure we knew how much they cared about making an affordable and safe GF dining experience. Loved the ambience and the food; the burger was one of the best I've ever had and the gf bun was soooo fluffy! They give you a FREE cookie at the end and the gf cookie was actually soft and not crumbly. I cried a little I was so excited. I will be back!

Blue Star Cafe is the kind of place you dream of stumbling upon. Fresh, flavorful food, kind people, and a genuine sense of care in every detail. I recently placed a takeout order, and from start to finish, the experience was exceptional.
The owner actually came out to greet me when I arrived. How often does that happen anymore? You can tell he’s not just running a restaurant; he’s creating a community. The hostess was equally incredible, taking the time to double-check every detail of our very complex order with so much patience and warmth. She even included gluten-free treats for us, which was such a thoughtful surprise.
Everything was beautifully packed and tasted amazing. You can feel the freshness and quality in every bite. It’s clear they take pride in what they serve, and it shows.
If you’re in Mooresville and haven’t tried Blue Star Cafe yet, you’re missing out. It’s a total gem, off the beaten path but absolutely worth the stop. Can’t wait to go back!

Great stop in Mooresville, NC. Nelson, who we think was the owner, checked on is multiple times! From the crab fritters to the red snapper, all the food was delicious! The service was quick and pleasant. Free cookie at the end of the meal as well! Keep it up the great job and good ingredients! Hope Nelson and his crew succeed!

My daughter suggested this cozy sweet restaurant for the atmosphere & ambience.. My date and I ate meatloaf & Thai salmon.. Both were delish..Waitresses excellent...We are bringing our friends Saturday 🧡 Love it🥰

Lots of good reviews here, but my first time visiting was not a success. Worst cheesesteak sandwich I've had in my entire life, without question. The steak was weirdly shredded and so burnt and hard that I'm not sure if it was steak or plastic. To add insult to injury, there was gobs of mayonnaise hidden beneath the melted white American cheese. Sadly, I ordered to go and didn't get to take my first bite until returning was too much of a hassle. One big terrible bite and the rest went straight in the trash. Based on other positive reviews my experience was an anomaly, but I'd be hard pressed to give this place a second chance. Staff was very nice.

We haven't been here for a while and didn't know what we were missing. The Wednesday special fresh fried Flounder with fried mashed potatoes and the best ancho creamed corn. Big portions, we have lunch for tomorrow! We will make this a regular spot!
