Hadn't eaten at Joel's in quite some time. Decided to give them a try since I was craving Mongolian beef, and it was prominent on their menu. Ordered this with some pad thai. The pad thai was pretty good, although the usual sesame topping was something inedible that I had to spit out. But the dish had a decent flavor. The Mongolian beef, on the other hand, was the worst I've ever had. In fact it didn't look like or taste like any Mongolian beef I've ever seen. This is a pretty consistent dish in most restaurants, but this version seemed more like Szechuan beef than Mongolian. Stir-fry veggies with tough pieces of beef and spices that are nothing close to traditional, along with steamed rice that was overcooked (near mushy), left me deeply regretting this order.Joel's is great for sushi, and even noodle dishes/pho, but the Mongolian beef was a huge miss. This is not their forte.
Some of the nicest employees of any restaurant I been to. That alone will keep me coming back on top of the amazing food. My food wasn't ready yet (I arrived a little earlier than estimated) and they even offered to get me a drink or something while I waited.

I've been eating here for at least 15 years. I've moved about an hour away but I still pop in once a month or so. Zeffy Roll - trust me - get it. Have never had anything that wasn't great.
Great homey Filipino food. Lumpia's always a good starter choice. Dinugang and crispy pata hit the spot since I was craving something stewy and meaty due to the cold weather. Finished the meal with halo halo, but ate it too fast before getting a picture.
Ordered food to go and the staff was super friendly. The food was very good with a decent serving size. Will definitely try to come back.

I entered Joel Asian Grill lovely Atmosphere for a date night or a quick bite to eat like I did. Drinks Asian fushion mojito? Delicious. Crab Rangoon Roll Very tasty 8 out of 10 instead of iceberg lettuce salad substitute micro greens and lift the flavor to a 10. The Tuna Advocado salad its mix with a ginger base that is delicious it just wasn't refreshing like I assume and it could be plated differently 7 out of 10. Supreme Seafood roll not rolled tight very bland add a sauce and crunchy will make this roll a 10. I ordered milk tea, spice edamame, and incredible hulk roll to go. The incredible hulk roll fell apart immediately, 5 out of 10, Spicy edamame need a more vibrant sauce to be shaken into 6 out of 10, milk tea with lychee 8 out of 10. Great experience if you are in the Mooresville NC area check them out. Def Top 3 sushi places in that area.
