Monsoon Asian Grill & Sushi Bar

We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and this had to be the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. When we got there they told us it would be a few minutes on a table so I decided I would get my wife a drink at the bar for her birthday. After waiting over 10 minutes with zero service, I decided to go back to our group and wait for our table. Another 10 minutes or so had passed when my wife decided to try and get a drink. After talking to the hostess she got a drink. Finally when got seated, It took our waiter for ever to check on us and ask us what we wanted to eat and drink. Finally after taking our order, he forgot me and my daughter’s dressing for our salad and my drink. After waiting again for several minutes for service, I just ate what I had. The people in our group never got asked for refills and I never got my drink. When the check came, the waiter stood at the table over my shoulder waiting for me to pay, while I made sure I didn’t pay for anything like my drink I never got with my meal…

Fantastic Chinese / Asian fusion food. Best I've had in the greater Charlotte area. The egg drop soup was amazing. Not your grandma's egg drop soup. This has become my go-to for Chinese takeout!

Lots of delicious drink options (boba, tea, slushies, sodas), got a peach soda this visit. Also three sushi rolls, fair prices and good quality. From previous experience: take out is pretty reliable. For a more proper meal I like the bento box option where you can customize the four things that come in it. (Picky eater, vegetarian, and GF friendly) Popular spot so expect a wait during dinner rush.

Monsoon is one of our favorite restaurants in Mooresville. The food is amazing. We have tried to try a little bit of everything and always go back to the sushi and bang bang shrimp.

Speaking only on pickup orders- Monsoon is so frustrating, the food is delicious if you actually get what you ask for. It feels like a 50/50 shot on whether you get what you ask for. It's incredibly annoying to see my ticket have the simple customizations I ask for and paid for and then open the bag and see all of those requests dismissed.

I guess my insanity of continuing to order here speaks to the food, but my gosh how difficult is it to read a ticket when constructing a roll?

My husband and kids came here to get food to go The staff was not nice no one greeted them when there were 5 employees up front no one knew what was going on they said if it's taken out it will be awhile. He asked how longis awhile no one knew Finley someone told them 30 mins for take out and he said that was fine. He grabbed a menu and was just going out the door to be out of the way they said you can't take that... What I tell my kids it's not what you say it's how you say it. They could have said I'm sorry but that can't be outside and he could have explained why he was going outside but they didn't want to hear it. They lost business. They walked out and went to a different place.
