Very disappointed with the hibachi filet. The food tasted pretty good. However there was 2 pieces of meat for $18. I got it to go and did not realize until I was home. Very disappointed.

We've eaten at Monsoon Asian Grill two times in the past two years, once quite recently, and wondered why we haven't been coming back more often! The food is phenomenal! Fresh, flavorful, good-sized portions - delicious! The Bento Box "box" is a very large, heavy duty, reusable dish that makes the presentation of the Bento Box meal even more appealing. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. Pricing is reasonable and a good bargain for what you get. Two of us had dinner and tea for under $38 before tip. It's not the best place to come if you're hoping for a more intimate dining experience, as the dining area is small with tables very close together. It's also a bit warm due to the cooking being done behind the bar and not separated from the dining room.
We love this place. Last night, we decided to try something different from our usual items. We ordered the Sushi Tuna Stack & it was wonderful!

Love Monsoon’s amazing Sushi & Poke Bowls! Service is excellent and always friendly. You can dine at the bar or at a table. They are busy in the evenings, so it’s great to arrive early. If there is a wait, do it! It’s worth the wait! My favorite is the make your own Poke Bowl with tempura shrimp, sushi rice, vegetable medley, cukes, scallions, edamame, wonton chips, and shrimp sauce.

Hands down the best bento box I’ve ever had. I usually order sushi rolls or sashimi at Japanese places. I placed a usual order for a bento box because the section was excellent. I love how they give you the option to choose menu items that aren’t fried rice as a main entree. I got the tempura shrimp, a sushi roll, edamame, and a sashimi salad. They also have other delicious fusion dishes from Korea, which I love. I will definitely be back and I will have to try something new next time. The staff is also very friendly and made the experience that much better :)

I am celiac so can’t have gluten and I loved how they had a gluten free/allergy menu! I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was amazing!! I told her I was gluten free and she showed me the GF menu. I ordered my sushi rolls and made the changes needed. She advised the cooks about the allergy & made sure that when my food wasn’t correct, it was redone to make sure I could eat it. I’ve never had a server take such care & precaution, it was amazing!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free / celiac

Sushi was fine for NC standards. The other food items and drinks were really good, which pushed up the rating. The appetizers were flavorful, and unique. The dinner options were really tasty. Good flavors, well balanced. Shout out in particular to good mixed drinks, sake martinis and good cocktails. The sushi was fine, maybe a bit basic but I found the fish to be fresh, and good enough comparing to any regional places. Crab Rangoon (more of a roll) asain street fries, sushi, teriyaki chicken veggie bowl. Miso. Nothing over the top, but solid basic first attempt options. Probably will go back.
