Today's coffee special is amazing. Turtle Larre. Let me add that my husband loved his breakfast quesadilla with turkey sausage. I ordered bacon as my side to the French toast. Omg..I'm picky. The bacon has this amazing smokey ...yum taste. This is our second time here.

The food was absolutely delicious. The scotched eggs in particular are the best eggs I have ever eaten in my life. I will certainly be returning and I am sure that I'll be ordering more than a single serving. I enjoyed the wide array of breakfast options. There were many to choose from.

We stayed at a hotel across the street and saw that this place was walking distance for us. We first came in on Friday morning and liked it so much that we came back the next morning to eat again! The first morning, I got the corned beef hash. It was pretty good and the portion was big! My husband got the eggs Benedict. The next day, he got the traditional breakfast which was huge! I got the croque monsieur. I loved the flavor of my meal but it was very heavy. On Friday morning, there was no wait and we were able to walk right in. On Saturday morning, they were very busy and we had to wait maybe 20 mins to be seated. The coffee was good and we had great service both days.

Shared breakfast with my husband immediately following a colonoscopy, and the service was very good. The food was okay, nothing special. We had a Western Omelet with fried potatoes (potatoes) and the Corned Beef Hash with two over-medium eggs. My husband said his omelet was just okay. I ordered the other dish, and I thought the hash had an unusual flavor and using hash browns instead of potato cubes was a little off-putting. The menu stated that the hash was cooked crusty; it was partially crusty, and the eggs were over-well. The chef here and I, along with other restaurant chefs where I've dared to have my eggs my favorite way, have differing opinions upon what over-medium means, i.e. white set, yolk runny. The accompanying biscuit, however, was quite yummy! A couple of other things: the ambience and environment are quite inviting, and the coffee shop within the cafe looks great. I know we all take risks when ordering food outside our homes, and I don't think we'll visit Sun Rise Cafe again; there are far too many other breakfast options in the area. Sorry!

I loved going to the restaurant so many times however, this morning I ordered a breakfast sandwich and each bite had a hair in it. I think the hairs were in the sausage I ordered on the sandwich. Disgusting.

Good food. Quick service. Lovely custom.coffee bar inside. Good choice for breakfast. The huevos rancheros had a unique spin and was absolutely delicious. Both French toast and the Cap'n Crunch French Toast were good. Omelet was also solid.

Quick stop at the cafe on our way to Lake Norman—impressed by the delicious treats and wallet-friendly coffee prices. The separate cafe and brunch areas add a nice touch along with a nice outdoor seating. While we only grabbed coffee this time, the tempting treats make us eager to return for the full brunch experience. A hidden gem en route to Lake Norman!Parking: Good number of free parking spots available by the parking garage next door.
