My husband and I drove in from New Bern. We were meeting family in from out of town. We recommended this place- as the first and only time visiting, things were fine. Let me tell you, last night was horrible. It was my mother in laws Birthday. We had reservations for 7. We were seated after waiting 20 minutes in line. The hostess was setting tables as she went instead of setting all at once, Talking to staff in between, etc.- working but slow overall. We were seated and waited 20 minutes for drinks. Then another 10 minutes for straws. We waited 40 minutes for a wine list. 1hour and 45 minutes later we finally got bread on the table and our wine bottle was finally opened. The waitress spilled water all over the floor and didn’t clean it up. My SIL and MIL’s food came first. Almost two hours later our food came. My husband and I had to leave with it in bags (not eating) until we returned home to new bern that night. My food is still in the fridge and I am uninterested in eating it now. I planned to buy Olive oil from a separate trip there but I won’t be. The waitress had no concept of checking on tables all at once and grabbing items from the back all at once. She did a lot of unnecessary running around adding more work for herself. I have never felt like I was an inconvenience at a restaurant before. But last night, I left feeling as though we weren’t a priority at all.
Train your staff better.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We were sat immediately, but from that point on it was all bad. We waited nearly two hours to receive any food, not a single staff member said anything to us about the wait, we never even given a water refill. Finally after over an hour and a half someone from our table entered the kitchen to try and get a check to leave and were met with someone telling us our food would be right out. In total over 1h 45m wait and the food came out and was some of the most bland, mediocre Italian I’ve ever eaten. 3/5 stars would be an extreme overstatement

We’ve been to this place before, and my wife and I loved it so much that we raved about it to everyone we know. But tonight? Tonight was an absolute disaster one of the most humiliating and infuriating experiences of my life. We brought my family here to celebrate my mother’s birthday, expecting a special evening, and instead got the worst service I’ve ever encountered. It took a ridiculous 30 minutes just to get a wine menu. The bread? Never even showed up. And our food? A jaw-dropping hour and 15 minutes to arrive. The place was busy, sure, but I couldn’t help but notice that everyone else seemed to be getting prompt service. A larger party that came in before us was being treated like royalty bread, wine, food, the works while we sat there, ignored, for over 20 minutes. It felt like we were deliberately being overlooked, and it was maddening. This was supposed to be a joyful celebration, but instead, my wife and I had to cut my mother’s birthday dinner short, drive an hour back home, and leave feeling humiliated. As for the food, we ended up boxing it up to go, and it was just mediocre nothing worth the ordeal. We’re done. We won’t be back. EVER.

This place is simply AMAZING!!! The Master Chef is very friendly. He came out to make sure the food was tasty and the service was up to par. He was closing, but opened his doors up to us and still fed us a fabulous meal. I’m heading there now to celebrate my birthday.

The food was really good. Our wait took a really long time. Our waitress never came to us the entire night but we did have the amazing 15 year old hostess get us drinks and a waitress that was more than willing to wait on us. Our new waitress turned out to be excellent and as we watched her through the night and into closing she had the most tables of all of the waitresses and was on the move the entire night. We were here for 3.5 hours at our table and were eventually told they had a server and cook out.

Being married to an executive chef, I’ve come to be spoiled, especially in terms of Italian food. This place was amazing. Everyone’s meal was perfection, awesome flavor, perfect texture and the portions were very generous. The service was superlative. And best thing, yet, the owner, Master Chef Carlo, was out and about and was extremely gracious and friendly. I would more than highly recommend this place.
