Filet and Fin is one of the best restaurants in Morehead, everything we ordered was excellent and the service is great!! Can’t say enough good about it. A must!!!!!
Six of us enjoyed an awesome meal tonight. The cocktails, grouper fish dip, crab cakes, beef tips and shrimp, catch of the day were all delicious. We will be back!!! Our waitress, Nichole, did a great job. Great food and atmosphere. Check it out when you get to Morehead City.

Filet 'n' Fin is a very nice restaurant for a special night out and is considered a hidden gem in Morehead City. It is an outstanding restaurant all around, providing a wonderful meal and an all-around great experience. The atmosphere is great and upscale but at a reasonable price. The menu is varied enough to suit any taste, with outstanding steaks like the filet, ribeye, and the 14 ounce NY Strip, all cooked perfectly to temp with excellent flavor and tenderness. Other dishes like the Parmesan grouper, blackened grouper, pasta, Caprese salad, and Oysters Rockefeller are also delicious and very good. Sides such as truffle fries and green beans are generous.
The service is friendly, attentive, excellent, and top-notch. Staff are incredibly personable, super energetic, kind, and welcoming, knowing the menu in and out. It is a great choice for a special event or celebration. However, it is definitely on the expensive side, with a total often over $100 per person, and is not a place for kids or a casual steak dinner. Despite many good restaurants in the area, it is a go-to restaurant where guests plan to return again.
