Love everyone that works at jacks but when Mike and Rudy are working in the kitchen we know our food will be delicious.

Jack’s Waterfront Restaurant in Morehead City is absolutely fantastic! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The waterfront views are stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. Whether you’re there for brunch, dinner, or drinks at sunset, Jack’s always delivers an unforgettable experience. It’s easily one of the best dining spots on the Crystal Coast!

Called well in advance on my wedding anniversary to ask about possible seating for a party of 8 outside on their balcony. Was told by the girl they don't take reservations, but it would be no problem at all to get seats outside if we showed up between 6 and 7:30 pm.

We get there around 6:25 and someone different is at the hostess station, she's less than 5 feet tall and middle age with straight brownish hair and she was extremely short and rude with our party as we walked in and I explained that we had called previously and what I was told.

She seemed irritated we were even there or that we would even ask for seating outside. I decided it wasn't worth it to argue with her about not having seats even though I can see several tables out there. So we decide to take some less than appealing seats inside just to simmer her down.

But to make things more insulting, she proceeded to walk no less than 4 groups of 2-4 people each, outside to seat them. Very frustrating.

The wood fired pizza was some of the best I'd had. I'll give them that. But we found scallops on the menu somehow online, and were told they don't actually have them so I'm not sure what's up with that either.

I'd consider going back only if that hostess isn't there, or if they can treat me with a little more respect and actually give us a table outside when they have them available, instead of telling us no, and seating several other parties outside afterwards.

Our waitress was actually pretty amazing, so although I give the service 1 star, she's worth 5.

We have been Jack’s regulars for several years. Lunch, dinner & and Sunday brunch. You name it we are there. So much so, I bought a sweatshirt on the way in to today’s visit to show my support. We know restaurants can’t always be exceptional every visit but today’s brunch visit was poor on several levels. The margarita pizza crust was paper thin, wiggly and raw. It was so weak it wouldn’t hold toppings. The breakfast sandwich was served obviously torched. I’m surprised it made it passed the expo and server and made it to the table. The day outside on the deck was beautiful tho. I’ve added photos/videos to support this review.

We visited here in 2024 and it was good, so we came back again this vacation and were not disappointed. They were busy, but our server was attentive and took great care of our table. The outdoor seating is pet friendly and it's covered, so the elements don't interfere with dinner.

They are known for their pizzas, but I went with their Crab Cakes and they were excellent. Plenty of crab, minimal breading. My wife had the White Pizza and she liked it.
