Jack’s Waterfront Bar is a family-owned gem in Morehead City! 😄 The staff and owners are super friendly, the wood-fired pizza 🍕 is amazing, drinks are solid 🍹, and the waterfront view 🌊 from the second level can’t be beat. Always a fun spot to hang out and see friends from all over NC!

Disappointing menu. Very free gluten free options. Limited menu. Not much local or fresh seafood. With such gorgeous waterfront views, one would expect higher quality of food. Competent staff. Beautiful view.

Love everyone that works at jacks but when Mike and Rudy are working in the kitchen we know our food will be delicious.

Went in and was told I couldn't bring my half drank soda in. We looked at the menu and thought the lunch menu looked good. When seated a half eaten drumstick was on the floor. The menu we were given was only entrées. So I assumed after a certain time all the food on the lunch menu is not available. The dinner menu was very limited and didn't appease to anyone in my party so we left.

Called well in advance on my wedding anniversary to ask about possible seating for a party of 8 outside on their balcony. Was told by the girl they don't take reservations, but it would be no problem at all to get seats outside if we showed up between 6 and 7:30 pm.

We get there around 6:25 and someone different is at the hostess station, she's less than 5 feet tall and middle age with straight brownish hair and she was extremely short and rude with our party as we walked in and I explained that we had called previously and what I was told.

She seemed irritated we were even there or that we would even ask for seating outside. I decided it wasn't worth it to argue with her about not having seats even though I can see several tables out there. So we decide to take some less than appealing seats inside just to simmer her down.

But to make things more insulting, she proceeded to walk no less than 4 groups of 2-4 people each, outside to seat them. Very frustrating.

The wood fired pizza was some of the best I'd had. I'll give them that. But we found scallops on the menu somehow online, and were told they don't actually have them so I'm not sure what's up with that either.

I'd consider going back only if that hostess isn't there, or if they can treat me with a little more respect and actually give us a table outside when they have them available, instead of telling us no, and seating several other parties outside afterwards.

Our waitress was actually pretty amazing, so although I give the service 1 star, she's worth 5.
