BEST SUSHI EVER: This is my favorite place to eat hibachi and sushi! I hated sushi before I ate it here. Now I love it. Gage and the rest of the crew are awesome. The owner is amazing! If you have not been, go. If you have been come back. 10 stars!

Good sushi, and friendly service. They are a bit chaotic: the server confused sashimi with nigiri and this required the owner to intervene. They finally got it together, but forgot the miso soup I had ordered, and yet they quickly and friendly corrected that. Would repeat business here, make sure your order is correct!

Gross. Cutting corners serving old food. We got very sick. Cottony mouth. Looked like the chef took pleasure in our disgust. Owner or chef in denial old lady... and isn't afraid to lie. Will gladly take your money and doesn't care about your concerns. Don't let that great health rating fool you. Rolls are tiny for the price. Takes too long for simple dishes to get to you. Probably because she is picking out old food from previous leftovers to serve you. That's honestly how the fish looked. Take a cut of tuna and leave it out for the night. It will darken and be rubbery. Ordered a crunchy shrimp roll nothing crunchy in it, couldn't even find the shrimp. Whatever was put in it to replace shrimp left a foul taste in our mouth. There is nothing Japanese about this joint. Dirt between the wooden plywood tables. That should have been the sign to run away. This is not Japanese sushi. This is another Asian group pretending to be knowledgeable in Japanese sushi. Horrible. Deceiving. Gross.

Nami’s sushi is a weekly staple for us. The rolls are always fresh, very well made, and creative. Sun — the owner and head sushi chef — is a delight and very warm. She can help guide you if you’re unsure of what to get and provides great weekly specials in addition to the regular menu. Sip on the unfiltered, cold, cloudy saki as you enjoy your rolls. You won’t be disappointed.

Visually unappealing. My roll was sparse and falling apart and sitting in a pool of ponzu. The gyoza was overcooked and bland. Cannot recommend.

My best friend and I ordered the sushi burritos. We have always wanted to try them, so it was exciting to find a Japanese restaurant that had it on their menu. The burritos were freshly prepared. The fish tasted fresh and was perfectly cut. The spicy sauce was overpowering in terms of the seasonings used. The edamame was a nice pairing, though they were overly salted. I wish they had Asian drinks on the menu, such as boba, Thai tea, etc.Overall, it's a nice spot for a quick meal. I will likely try it again and see if they have updated their menu.

The food was inedible. The owner was just as bad. So disappointed, wanted it to be great. The owners reputation followers her, I didn’t know it until I saw the truth. It’s a shame to have something and someone so horrible in Morehead City.

Definitely the type of place to charge you for extra white sauce then consistently only fill the container half way. Shameful.

Fresh and 100% rating on posted certificates! Love it all, from apps to entrées, it's hard to choose. Someone in the group must order bulgogi as a delicious addition. Best fresh flavors always too full for dessert!

The day we went it was very busy. There was a help wanted sign on the door, and it seemed like they may have been short-staffed, BUT every single person in there was helping out and was not sitting idly around which was refreshing to see. It's a small joint, but the food is good. A nice place to get sushi near the beach!

Nami's is an excellent Sushi establishment. All servers work equally as hard. Kylie has always waited on me and is above and beyond expectation each and every time. Highly recommended establishment. Sún, the owner is constantly checking on customer satisfaction.
