We had a wonderful evening dining here. Started with the bacon 🥓 wrapped scallops over grits 😋
Then, lobster bisque & French onion 🧅 soup; both were delicious! Main course: filet flight with 3 dipping sauce and seafood 🍣 🍤🦞🦪tower. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Our only minor complaint is there is a 3% surcharge for credit card 💳. We get it, but would have been nice to know ahead of time.

AMAZING DINING!!! My wife and I went for our anniversary to Prime Bistro and Wine Bar and it was top of the line dining. I told them in advance it was our anniversary and when we arrived at our table they had a vase of beautiful red roses waiting for us. Our amazing waitress Gillian, then brought us a card signed by the staff with a super sweet message and also brought us a cute package of Beaufort vinegar and oil. Gillian is an amazing, knowledgeable, personable waitress who knew the menu like the back of her hand amd even ask if we had any allergies to any food and how they could fix what we would like if we did have allergies.
For appetizers we enjoyed bacon wrapped scallops, highly recommend!! And we had the crab dip, again highly recommend! Our main entrée's were the 16 oz. Ribeye cooked perfectly medium-rare with a XL loaded baked potato, that entire meal was the best ever! My wife enjoyed crab cakes with arugula and broccolini and it was absolutely delicious! We had no room for dessert but they brought out two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies which we took home along with our left overs packed up perfectly by Gillian. Our cocktails were made top notch and tasted delicious, we had the Tequila Orange crush and the pomegranate hibiscus Cosmo! Prime Bistro is a elegant, top notch dining experience with very enjoyable ambiance and wonderful decor with the perfect romantic lighting. Our bill with the tip was a little over $300 but it was well worth it and we will definitely be back!

You can tell the leadership of this restaurant talks about customer service and great food and everyone supports their mission. We went to celebrate our 44th anniversary. We happened to be in Morehead City for a funeral. We stayed at the Hampton Inn right next door. I looked to see if there were any good restaurants nearby and this one looked OK. In our 44 years we’ve been fortunate to celebrate at great restaurants from Boston to Atlanta. This one is right up there in service and food. They should be proud.

Scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer roasted beet salad grouper with risotto and 14 oz dry aged NY strip were our choices!

Can't say enough on how great our experience was. We were out for our anniversary. We were not rushed in the least our food was excellent in all regards. Ambiance was upscale stake house and It felt like it. The staff was attentive and made the dinning experience all the more special for our celebration.

Restaurant is located where Bistro By the Sea once was. Mention that to help with location for those living nearby.
Maybe a bit dated, but pleasant surroundings. Reading the menu is challenging with super low lighting and tiny print on menus.
More importantly, the service was great. We took a friend to celebrate her birthday. As mentioned in other reviews, she was gifted a set of vinegar and oil along with a birthday card making it special for our friend.
Four of us went. One had a mixed drink, two had a nonalcoholic drink, no appetizers, no desserts - and bill with tip was $550. And that was with my ordering the crab/mango appetizer as my entree which was less than $30.
I ordered the appetizer as my entree as am a pescatarian and found menu limited for me. But it is a steak house! I found the crab/mango appetizer wanting for more crab. Two ordered the special Japanese filet with one saying it was the best steak he had ever had. The brussel sprouts (requested no bacon) and mashed potato sides were delicious. The Mac n Cheese side just okay.
Was also special that they gave us four bags with a warm cookie in each even though we were not ordering dessert. (Had a birthday cake at home.)
While yes, lots of good experiences, just not worth the money for us. But the best steak ever deserves a five star rating.

A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience!

We just left Prime Bistro and couldn’t wait to share our experience! My husband and I love dining out and have visited many nice restaurants, but Prime Bistro truly stands out as one of the best we’ve ever been to.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, service, and food were all absolutely 5 stars. As business owners, we really appreciate the small details—and Prime Bistro did not miss a beat. We mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. Everyone greeted him with warm birthday wishes, and they even surprised him with a birthday card signed by the entire staff and a thoughtful small gift. That kind of personal touch is rare and so appreciated.

The food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. Our server, Sean, took the time to walk us through the menu and made fantastic recommendations. Logan was also incredibly attentive, making sure our table was always clean and our drinks were full.

We’re not from the area and chose Prime Bistro based solely on reviews—so glad we did! They made my husband’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable.

Made reservations for our 27th Anniversary. With one quick message they made it extra special with roses and champagne at the table. Appetizers, main course, dessert, everything we ordered was amazing! Could not be happier with the experience. Our waitress Taylor was excellent!

Excellent service, the food was very flavorful and the portions were large and filling. The staff was very friendly and professional. The prices are well worth the amount of food, the atmosphere, the staff, and how amazing the dishes taste. We enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.

This place never misses. I come here often and every visit is perfection. The food is always top-tier—delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale, making it ideal for unwinding with great conversation. Service is consistently warm and attentive. One of my absolute favorite local spots that continues to impress time and time again.

Sonya and her team treated us like royalty. Connor (bartender extraordinaire) crafted our drinks and also provided us with an exceptional wine pairing. The ambience was lovely - kind of an "old school steakhouse" vibe but very comfortable, quiet, and spacious. The food was incredible - my steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's fish was lovely. Preparing both over a wood fire added extra depth and a perfect char. As it was my birthday, I received a card signed by each member of the staff and a bottle of special olive oil and a bottle of wonderful balsamic vinegar. Additionally, they provided us with a remarkable dessert that created the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

We had a fantastic dinner at Prime Bistro! The Oysters Rockefeller were delicious, perfectly baked and packed with flavor. The steak was cooked just right, and the mac and cheese was absolutely amazing; creamy, rich, and a must-order. We finished the meal with the salted Carmel cheesecake. On top of the great food, the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!
