Prime Bistro & Wine Bar

We celebrated New Years Eve with reservations at The Prime, and had a wonderful experience. The shrimp cocktail,served with melted butter and housemade cocktail sauce is now a new fav! The sides are served "family style" and easily enough for 2 people. Our server suggested we order a couple and share since it was so hard to choose from the variety of sides. Everything we ordered was delicious. My steak was a little too rare when it came out but the chef had no problem putting it back on and it came back out cooked perfectly. The entire wait staff was friendly and everyone made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

We had the absolutely best dinner there last night! Everything was exceptional!

The food was amazing, our server Sean G did a superb job. He couldn’t of been any nicer. Jack also was on top of things. You feel like you’re with family

We had such an enjoyable evening at Prime Bistro. We were having dinner with a couple we had not seen in ten years, and I wanted the night to be very special and memorable. It was above and beyond my expectations. The restaurant is very nicely appointed with a wonderful bar and a dining arear that isn’t so big you feel as though the evening won’t be as quaint. We arrived a bit early and were invited to sit at the bar while we waited. Our table was ready on time, and we were seated in a very comfortable location. Our server Summer, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and the dry aged steaks available. She was very attentive throughout the entire meal and made us feel very well taken care of without hovering. The menu is amazing and very difficult to narrow down selections. I would recommend arriving with a good appetite and sharing appetizers. The food is beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looks. We saved room for dessert and coffee which was superb as well. I truly do not think you could order anything on the menu that wouldn’t be a culinary marvel. I really appreciated receiving a phone call the day before the reservation, confirming the time and asking if there were dietary restrictions or if we were celebrating a special occasion. This was a very nice touch. We had such a wonderful time during our meal that we stayed until almost eleven o clock. We never felt rushed or hurried to leave. The staff was so very warm and accommodating. If I am ever in Morehead City again, I will most certainly make a dinner reservation at Prime Bistro. Many thanks to the entire staff for a more than memorable evening. WELL DONE!!!

We went to celebrate our anniversary. The service, food and drinks were amazing. We had the seafood tower and I had the crab cakes. Everything was so good. This is one of those places where you wish you could try everything. We will be going back

We had a fabulous meal, with the seafood tower dominating the meal, but the crab cakes also spectacular. The aged strip steaks were excellent as always. Service was excellent as expected and the meal was on point.

INCREDIBLE service. It was beautiful inside. Freddy, Jack, and Sean did a fantastic job serving us. Including walking us in and leading us to our table by our arms. They were very detailed in explaining the menu. The food was amazing. They gave us free cookies, Beaufort oil, and a lovely card for my 21st birthday. Freddy also sing me happy birthday in opera style.

We had a wonderful dinner at Prime. From the clever, funny dress code sign on the front door, and the warm welcome from Host Freddy “the voice “ ? to the wonderful service from Taylor, our Server and the delicious food and excellent wine - the whole experience was stellar. We’ll be back!

Decided to celebrate my birthday with dinner here. Me & my best friends were so impressed with the food & service. Everything from the service, our cocktails, appetizers, entree & wine was AMAZING! Next time I’m in the area this will be a stop for dinner.

My husband and I went for dinner last night with another couple. It was my first time and I’ve heard so many wonderful things and I was excited to see what everyone was raving about. Drinks and appetizers were good, but our entrees were not at all as we ordered them. I had the 7 oz filet, requested it be cooked to medium. It was basically raw, which for me is inedible. My husband asked his ribeye to be cooked “Pittsburgh style” (rare center, charred outside), it came out a solid medium well. Another one of our party also got the ribeye, and wanted it medium rare. His was also cooked medium well. While there was no way to fix their steaks, I would have been happy to send mine back for more cooking, but our waiter didn’t come back until after everyone had already finished eating. We also never had our water glasses refilled throughout the meal. The manager took $50 off our $500+ bill. I get that all restaurants may have an off night, but at those prices I feel like these are not mistakes that should happen. And even if we had been checked on after we received our entrees I would have been less disappointed. Seems like the waiters are spread too thin to be able to provide top notch service.

The food was exceptional including the appetizers, main dishes (NY Strip especially) and deserts were all on point. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the server was excellent. We will definitely return to the restaurant to celebrate our special occasions and will happily recommend Prime Bistro to friends.

I loved the atmosphere here and the food was awesome. Wine selection was great and the servers were very knowledgeable on pairings. All the recommendations we received from our server were fantastic. Can't wait for my next meal here! Also the host has a beautiful singing voice and made my wife's birthday very special. Thank you Primo team!

Food was excellent but expensive. Restaurant is great for a special occasion but not a place I would go to routinely. For that special occasion where you might spend $300 per couple, I would highly recommend it.
