Food is good and mashed potatoes are my fave. Great location by the waterfront and walking around after your meal. Definitely recommend!
Food and service was great
I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The food was good, our server was amazing, the view and atmosphere was awesome at first but what took place towards the end of our meal was unacceptable.
A large party came in and started asking us for our table while we were waiting on our desert and our check. We told them no we were not done but 10 minutes later a bus boy came up slammed his hand on our table and demanded that these people were waiting for our table. So he pulled half of our table away while our drinks and stuff were still on them. Mind you I had a 2 and 4 year old with me. That were at this end of the table. It was during big rock and my kids were anxiously awaiting the marlin to be brought in. After they pulled the table away my husband told them that they could have that but we were not moving yet and would keep the seats we had there. My pregnant sister s desert arrived and she was eating at a small table with all of our plates and drinks from the other table crammed on it. So no space. All the while the group of people who bullied us out of our seats harassed me and my two year old by calling us rude and common. At one point a man fell out in the crowd on the other side of the railing where we were seated. His friends were yelling for help but no one could get to them because of the crowd. I jumped over the railing to see if I could help and while doing this the rude customers still tried to steal my seat. Not once did management step in to try to resolve the matter or mediate the situation. Management at this restaurant allowed rude/drunk customers to bully and harass customers already there out of a table and eventually a seat.
Can't speak for food but the wait for initial greet and drink orders was unacceptable and left after 20 minutes of sitting unacknowledged by anyone.
Price is high but worth it.
Had a great first visit! Madison did a great job taking good care of us.We ordered bacon wrapped scallops, zucchini fries, clam chowder and crab stuffed mahi. All very good!
Cute location, right off the water. The food and staff were average. The menu was marked for gluten free and the server could answer questions but didn’t seem to really care/have concern for the dietary concern so I am not sure they took the request serious as I did have a little reaction afterwards. It was definitely only a small amount of cross contamination but for a celiac any amount is really too much. I may give it a try again if I’m in the area since others seem to have had better experiences.
There is plenty of seating and a parking lot nearby.
My husband & I had a wonderful dining experience at Red Fish! We went during Morehead City's New Year's Eve event and although the restaurant was busy, our wait time for a table wasn't bad. The server was great! The food came out very quickly & tasted awesome! We highly recommend the crap dip & stuffed mahi! We will definitely dine here again on our next visit!
Charles was incredible! Friendly, efficient, and made the entire process hassle-free.

Barrel cut, and seared rare (cold in center),
Over wild rice and grilled zucchini, lemon herb grill sauce and house made soy reduction
House made Soy reduction? Wow it tastes sour just like A1 sauce.. doesn't work together.. ?
Other dishes were good.. but don't order that dish .
We were given the outside seat ...when we prefer the inside (we got children in our party , temp mid 60s).. bc of our party size of 10+, we didnt want to be difficult but they were not happy/ not very welcoming to see our parties when we showed up around 5:30 pm.

Great place for a light sea food dinner and local beer. Chosen 3 starter: fish bites, bacon wrapped scallops and fried calamari. Excellent choices… and the brown ale was especially good. Austin, our server, was cool and polite with no pressure.
