Taste of Napoli is a phenomenal restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the mozzarella sticks and gamberoni scampi, which I devoured. Even the fresh baked bread was incredible. The service was lovely, the atmosphere was wonderful, and Giovanni’s conversation had us feeling welcomed. At the end of the meal, we tried both desserts and couldn’t decide which one was best because they were both amazing. I highly recommend anyone to stop by and eat here.

Amazing establishment with amazing people. Giovanni is a chef who loves to cook and you can taste it in every dish. The food and the service are outstanding and this is the best Italian place south of New York City.
Morehead City is lucky to have this establishment.

We live about 2 hours away and came here because we were visiting the aquarium. We came here for lunch on a Saturday, and we all got sandwiches, because they had a lunch menu where you could get a sandwich and fries for $12. Surprisingly, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was Mikail. I believe Mikail is a manager or something, as he shared that he was a general manager of another restaurant. He was incredibly friendly and checked in on us frequently. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer for the table. I got a meatball parmigiana panini, and my partner got an italian sub. All of the items we ordered were $12. The mozzarella sticks were a little disappointing. I could tell that they were homemade and not frozen, but they were missing something in flavor. It also came with six sticks, for $12, which felt a little steep for something that is relatively low effort. The meatball parmigiana panini was awesome. The bread was nice and crispy, and the meatballs were delicious. I tend to avoid getting meatball subs because sometimes, the meatballs are so big that you basically have to unhinge your jaw to eat it. The meatballs on this sub were smaller and easier to eat. The italian sub was also amazing. It looked beautiful and tasted very high quality. The french fries were pretty plain, but I do not think judging french fries from an Italian place is really fair. The environment and atmosphere was very nice, and I would love to come back here for dinner to try more of their menu!

Every time I go to Taste of Napoli in Morehead City, I leave more impressed than the last. The food is absolutely to die for everything I’ve ever ordered has been beyond delicious! You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. On top of that, the service is just as amazing. Gio, is an absolute gem he always treats us so well and makes every visit feel special. This place is hands-down one of my favorites!

Hubby had the chicken Piccata with angel hair pasta, and I had the lasagna. Both were only okay and disappointing based on the reviews.
Service was also only okay. The guy who seated us said he'd be back, but after a while a young woman came over and asked if we'd been helped and she took our orders. Got the impression she was fairly new as she didn't bring us a copy of the credit card receipt and couldn't figure out how to get us one.

Hidden gem. Appetizer of Zucchini was delicious. Husband had the Seabass and I had chicken Parm. Both quite good. Hubby also had tiramisu and was one of the better ones he’s ever had. As former NYers and been to Italy a few times- we were happily impressed. And they had Italian music playing- always a plus. Very sweet servers as well. Give them a try. You won’t be sorry.

The food was good but felt it was slightly over priced.

This is truly a hidden gem. Its iffy the beaten path. But worth the drive. The food was authentic Italian food. Generous portions. Loved it.

We ordered the meat ravioli and Caesar salad for lunch. The food was excellent. The only negative was when we got the bill, we had a $1 charge for a side salad (which we didn't order--we ordered a full Caesar salad) and a $3 charge for cheese on the ravioli. Such a negative feeling after a great meal. Stop adding bogus charges. Just be honest on the menu with the pricing.

After not having much luck in our local area with Italian food, we took a drive into Morehead City and took a chance on this restaurant. We were not disappointed! From the warm, perfectly toasted, flavorful bread to the main courses, we were so excited. My penne with garlic and oil was so tasty and my husband’s chicken Parmesan was amazing. We even asked for extra bread to take home because it was that good. It’s a very cute, friendly place and we cannot wait to go back!
