Great Italian food! Had Wed special. 2 pasta dinners (linguine with white clam sauce - topped with fresh clams in the shell & chicken parm) & salads plus bottle of wine for $45! Wish we lived closer!

This is an amazing authentic Italian restaurant with very reasonable pricing and great wines. It is located in a small, modest retail space off the main tourist path. Pictured is the Veal Marsala with angel hair pasta.

House bread rolls were crisp, warm and yum. The bolognese sauce was perfect…the marinara sauce for the gamberoni fra diavolo was Fantastic…. Our Australian friends notes it was one of the best Italian dinners they had ever had….Great service and great atmosphere….this is a must visit!!! Great food…..

Called in for a pickup and to go order. Food was cooked fast, service was awesome. The inside has sounds of Italy, quiet and quaint. Portion sizes were huge per plate, worth the money. They even give you a loaf of Italian bread with each meal, which personalizes more and is great for dipping. And the taste, was well, a taste of Napoli! Will definitely go back.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience as me. There were so many raving reviews I thought I would give this place a try. I think the pictures speak for themselves. TERRIBLE food (I think spinach and mushrooms were just thrown on top of the Alfredo uncooked and everything was tasteless), overpriced, sauce was leaking out of the bag and into my car. I wish I had just cooked at home. I feel awful for anyone who thinks this is Italian food. Save the trip and your money and go somewhere else.

Best in town and the owner is such a great guy!! You’re family once you walk in, when you leave, out in town, etc! He and all of the staff are so personable and friendly! They’re always very respectful and not to mention patient! I’ve never felt rushed when we visit! The food is always delicious and CONSISTENTLY delicious! I’ve never had a bad meal or experience! I’m an Alfredo lover and 9/10 I always order it. I love my Alfredo with a dash or two with nutmeg and they always add it for me! The last time I came in they added it without me even asking lol. But that just goes on to show how personal they are with their customers! Plus when I order to go they always recognize my voice and ask if I want to add nutmeg!? the wine list is impressive and always good and I recommend the montepulciano! The bar tender is so sweet and nice! Not to mention good at her job lol she makes a mean espresso martini! So yummy after dinner with their NY cheesecake. (My personal favorite) I’ve only ever had two mix ups with my order but it was a to go order and all it was was they had forgotten to add the chicken. But even with that it was still delicious as just broccoli and mushroom Alfredo. I still devoured it. ? and once the realized the mix up they certainly made up for it next order with extra breads and our dessert was free! The cost of our meal is just as comparable to any Olive Garden but Taste of Napoli’s food far exceeds the flavor and quality!! The owner and staff certainly love their jobs and you can tell it in every bite. Not to mention the cleanliness and ambience. No hole in the wall dive like some of the other private owned restaurants in town. Taste of Napoli is my favorite restaurant and always recommend it to anyone asking for a great meal experience! Love this place! Always a 10/10!

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with tastebuds. The whole experience was uncomfortable at the bar with all the employees just talking loud close to me and my girlfriend. Both of our pasta dishes were horrible, the chicken marinara was worse than any marinara you get at the grocery store with uncooked noodles and frozen chicken. My girlfriend got the clam pasta dish that was over salted and the clams were expired. Just the whole experience was bad for spending 80 dollars on garbage. I’m sorry but I was furious after dinner.

I tried this restaurant a year ago, not real impressed. Tried it again tonight thinking maybe it was an off night.....nope. Ordered the fried zucchini, I've had much better. The Marina was thin like an Italian tomato soup. Got the side Cesars Salad, all the lettuce was wilted and bitter, the croutons were stale with no crunch, covered in dressing. Tasted like it was premade and sat for hours. Had meatballs with Alfredo angel hair. The meatballs were just small frozen meatballs. Nothing to rave about. The dish had a weird smell and sour taste. My husband had one of the specials, it was Alfredo based, his Alfredo tasted fine. Needless to say, I only had a few bites and left hungry.

I’m italian, italian food is my favorite food in the world. I‘ve tried every italian restaurant in morehead city and this one is by far the worst. I first tried them out a couple years ago I got chicken alfredo with angel hair. I was appalled at how awful the chicken was… I’m not sure how the chicken was cooked but it was awful. The way they cut the chicken was terrible, I didn’t even know there was a wrong way to cut up chicken for a pasta dish. Now I know there is. And the sauce? Just bland tasted like oil and heavy whipping cream. There was no seasoning in the dish. I decided to try them out again I thought well the restaurant is still open after all this time maybe they changed up the recipe. Unfortunately I was wrong. This time i got linguine with vodka sauce and what was suppose to be GRILLED chicken. It tasted like it was boiled? Definitely not grilled. I’ve never had chicken this awful anywhere in my life! The vodka sauce was really good though. It was the best part about the dish. I also tried the chicken parmigiana. Same thing chicken was awful and strangely thin… The marinara sauce was also not that great. Their pasta tastes like a generic grocery brand boxed pasta. Save your money people. Definitely recommend casa san carlo on arendell st in morehead if you’re craving a good italian dish!

Probably a real 3.5-4 had bolognese and baked ziti Food was good note to chef: italian is my go to and i make it alot- the sauce was very good but too much, pasta was swimming in it. Also don't use wilted basil, i picked it out. At least thats what I thought it was If you dont have fresh basil try parsley The ziti was good, added some red pepper flakes to add some more flavor I ordered extra meat balls which were very good. The bread was warm and very good. We sat outside which was nice, except for the flies which were a pain, but not overly terrible. Server was excellent very nice, pleasant, prices were very fair, definitely would come back.
