Ugh, we read the reviews and figured we'd grab a bite there after Morganton. But it was a total bust. Dinner was awful. John's Big John Special was super greasy. The burger had three patties, but they were so bland. Too much meat... I got the BBQ sandwich and fries. Even the BBQ sandwich was greasy! Thank God I got a side of BBQ sauce! That didn't even help! $3.50 for fries that tasted like nothing! No salt, just straight from the freezer. We had to drown them in ketchup just to eat them. Seriously, I don't know how anyone gave this place five stars. Seriously! These 5 star reviews must be from people who have no taste buds! Everything we ordered was bad!!! We were so bummed about wasting our money at 64 Restaurant. Definitely not giving 64 Restaurant more than 1 star, it doesn't deserve it and won't be going back. Yuck!

I had the catfish and my husband had a double burger. I tell you we were not disappointed. The food was so good. Only complaint the fries were cold but the main course was so good it was something to easily look past. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Will be back.

We were in town for a golf event and happened up on this place near our ABnB. HillBilly Truckstop is a CIA undercover eating establishment. The name and the outside appearance as well as the interior setup says do not stop here. But once inside, it all changes. The friendliest wait staff and the food is incredible. …. and the prices are from the 1980s. I had the 8oz burger and tots. It was perfect. My buddy had the HB Steak with some veggies. I might have wished I had gotten that too but I would probably order the burger again 10/10 times. ….and Cayden was just the best seever. I visited with the chef for a moment to applaud him as well. He seemed very proud of his throwback eatery. All I can tell you is go. I am definitely going back.
Feels like home. Tastes like heaven. Of course, I ain’t dead yet and I don’t know if streets of gold would taste so great. But you get the picture lol. It’s one my favorite places in Morganton.

I ordered a 16oz Hamburger steak that was truly awesome. The corn nuggets are great also. My wife ordered the Philly steak and said it was the best she ever had. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza and was also impressed. I am also a coleslaw lover but it must be good and this place knocked it out of the park. Truly amazing

Great place to park the truck get a nice dinner at a very good price and take your 10, this was my first time here. Won’t be my last. Do not trash the place like you guys do others. Don’t want to ruin this gem.
