Cook out is a usual go to for me and my family but they let me down today! I know they get super busy but dang would you want to eat a super burnt quesadilla? I don't think anyone in their right mind would 😂 this won’t stop us from going but I’ll choose my sides with this experience in mind lol
It's not as good as it was before they make their fries hot and spicy and the milk shake cups they put holes in the bottom and split the side of the cups

As I have been traveling from Tennessee to Charlotte NC every week or other week at minimum the past 8 months I have been adding this stop just so I can get Cookout and E85 fuel right up the road from here more and more. Cookout is a great place to get a big meal that's still fast food but with a more similar down or mom and pop style of food and portions. The food is almost always fixed hot and to my liking, with bigger portions for the prices it's really a no brainer for me. Keep the lot and parking areas clear and clean with friendly staff and great prices what's not to love? One thing to note is there's no public restrooms or areas to wash your hands so be clean before arriving 🤣. Handicap parking available (but just to dine).

Food was crap. Cold, moist, old, limp French fries. Unpeeled sliced raw onion on one burger and same on another burger but onion was deep fried not grilled as per menu board, nasty, cold and greasy best describes pretty much the entire meal. Burgers were squished into oval shaped patties, not even placed on bun halfway as well as toppings were the same. A giant disappointment especially for the price. Last 2 visits, food has pretty much been a giant disappointment and a failure on the customer satisfaction part as well. To spend almost $100 in 2 visits for less then mediocre food. I won't go back. What a waste.
