The place was not busy. After a hour and 15 minutes I was so angry I got up and left. Others followed suit.

My husband and I came in around 7 pm. Maybe 4 customers in the dining area. We decided if we waited until a little after 8 pm for food we would leave. About that time we saw one plate come out (french toast and eggs). The server noticed and told the cooks this is not what she ordered. We left. The server was extremely nice but kept telling us "food will be right out". I don't know what is going on in that kitchen, but management needs to hire more staff or get rid of the ones who are there. That is the short version. Date was December 7.

My husband and I ate there last night. It was not that busy for dine in customers but Doordash just kept coming in. They took care of the orders going out before they fixed the ones ordering in.it was about 15 minutes after being seated that we finally got a waitress to take our order. Once ordered it took almost 45 minutes for my food to arrive at the table. We only ordered breakfast stuff. My husband wanted the thanksgiving meal but was told that it was so out early that morning. Once the food arrived it was cold and greasy. We ate what we could and it cost us almost $40. That was way too much for an awful meal. We didn't want to send it back we were afraid that it would take another 45 minutes to get fresh food. So try it at your own risk. We won't be going back for a while.

Amazing service from my server Penny and the manager Pam was wonderful and attentive. My coffee was never empty and the buttery goodness far surpassed the house of waffles and kept me going half the day
Ate at Dennys tonight for the first time in a long time and won't go back! 3 people in our party. We got our drinks right away but no one ever came back to ask us about refills. Ordered our food and it took an hour to get it. Ultimate omelet was half the size and hash browns were cold. Zesty nachos were cold. The only hot meal was the chicken tenders and onion rings. Had to ask for toast, a coke refill and had to go to the counter for that, honey mustard 3 times. NEVER AGAIN!!

This location has gone downhill hard and fast. They are completely understaffed every time we have tried to go this year because corporate will not hire more or pay enough, welcome to America now, where profit has gone beyond even sustaining the most basic tenet of why a company like Denny's exists: to serve you a basic meal that should be consistent across locations. At the very least it should be hot and fresh and it is neither. Stale TOAST? Stale hash brown potatoes so tough you cant chew them? DO BETTER. We waited to get seated for 10 minutes with no one in line, on a Sunday morning. (That should have been a red flag right there). The eggs, toast, potatoes (2 different kinds) were awful. The chicken fried steak with gravy was COLD. I don't mean not warm or hot, I mean refrigerator cold through and through. Horrible. Horrible. Wanted to take the meal off my bill, had to wait 20 minutes for a manager (she had left and gone to the store, the wait staff are not trusted to take anything off a bill.) When she finally did arrive, she only took part of the meal off the bill, I still had to pay 21$ for food we did not eat. I tipped the waitress either way, but then we had to wait 10 minutes to just pay the bill, there was no one seating or running the register. I mean, Jesus, at least have a HOSTESS to do those things. They are too cheap to have a hostess on a Sunday?
Do yourself a favor: Go elsewhere. The only reason they still exist is that there are 3 sit down breakfast places in the entire city of Morganton that are moderately acceptable (unless you don't mind paper plates and plasticware): Denny's, Waffle House and Cracker Barrel. Now there are only 2.
