Friendly staff. Great location, riverfront and adjacent the Greenway. Food was delicious. Following all covid protocols. Inside and outside seating. Restaurant has a bar as well. Large room to accommodate large groups. Plenty of parking.

Our experience here was not pleasant at all. Our waitress was friendly however she was not wearing her mask correctly. She was in my infants face without her mask on, pulling it down. By the time we left because we never received our food (an hour after we ordered our food) she had her mask completely off her face. The waitress also leaned overtop my daughter to get close to my infant. We are extremely disappointed in the service that we received. We will not be visiting this establishment again.

Went in for late lunch after walking trail. People really nice, restaurant clean. My wife had shrimp and fries and I had “Butch’s Fish and Chips”. My wife’s fries were cold. I had two pieces of fish, both way over cooked and cold. First piece was all batter, no fish. Second piece had some fish but over cooked and cold. I did not say anything, did not see any reason to. The poor condition of the food, by appearance alone should have been obvious to the cook and waitress. Still they served it so they must not have cared. Shame because I really liked the restaurant and had hoped it would be good.

My time at Friday Friends was amazing! We were sat outside and enjoyed the delightful view with our delicious food! Our waitress brought out everything in great time and was easy to talk to. The beer cheese pretzels were mouth watering! I will definitely be telling friends and returning!!!!

Wish I could leave a review about the actual food but unfortunately never got that far. I've only been in NC a short time, having moved to Morganton near the Greenway a couple months ago. I've walked past this place many times but was never hungry enough to stop. Today I was excited to finally check it out. Asked a waitress, who wasn't wearing a mask as others have pointed out as well, to be seated on the patio. Walked past one, maybe two tables with people inside. Just one couple sitting on the patio. So basically it was dead. Waitress said she'd be right with me. 10minutes go by, nothing. A few more minutes I wait, I notice the nice couple sitting across only has drinks. So I ask them if they've been waiting long for food, the woman just rolls her eyes and says a few not-nice things about the place I won't repeat. That's all I needed to hear. I got up, told them I didn't come here to wait all day and they agreed, so I left. As I was walking back to my car, same waitress spotted by the dumpster smoking! Are you seriously &$^$& kidding me?!! Real nice. Funniest part is I relocated down here to set up a new engineering facility for my company nearby. Several other engineers and management will be joining me in the coming months. Let's say conservatively 6 guys come down....so not only did they lose me, they lost 7 people, their families, and anyone else I decide to mention this mess too.

Covid restrictions posted but not all employees followed the mask policy. After watching a family (that came in after our order was placed) get there food, finish and started clearing the table we still hadn't gotten our dinner. 45 minutes! It was just the 2 of us, no explanation for delay, no apology, tried paying for our salad (included with meal) up at the front and he wanted to keep us waiting to find our server. Someone else came to the counter (possibly the manager...no one introduced themselves or wore name tags) told us not to worry about the salad, he's a little frazzled because they only have 2 cooks.

We have always loved FFs. Last night, however, was a low point in the long relationship we have had with this restaurant. The food is always on point. And I understand we’re are in a tough period for restaurants from a staffing/ survival standpoint. But our experience last night was inexcusable under any circumstances. We arrived at the restaurant and there were few cars in the lot and few tables occupied. There was no one at the host station. The manager was leisurely ringing up a patron that was finished. That went on for 5 minutes before he finally acknowledged us with the comment, “ he’ll be back in a minute”. Whatever that meant. After several more minutes, while the manager continued trying to close out the same one person check, he paused from his task to finally show us to a booth. Things continued to degenerate as no one came over to us for water, drinks, anything. I saw one waitress but she refused to make contact with me, and expertly looked right through me before completely disappearing. After another 10 minutes of zero service, we pulled the rip cord and left. As we exited, there was NO restaurant personnel anywhere to be found. Maybe they were having a meeting in the kitchen. Meanwhile, a large number of parties was growing at the door. I hope they got better service than we did.

Went here on the recommendation from my friend. The wait staff seemed courteous enough. Ordered a prime rib steak, was really good. Good atmosphere, was very quiet on the inside when I got there and wasn't very crowded. I don't know if it was just because of the time we went there or what. I would most definitely go back to this place.

I'm giving this place a very low review because I love it and don't want to have to wait for a table because it's packed with customers. Y'all get on to Applebees & let me have Friday Friends. Now, bring me my basket of delicious fried mushrooms, and a bottle of Yuengling.
Sadly this place has gone down hill. The restaurant only had 3 other tables seated when we arrived, it was pretty dead. The Caesar salad was drowning in dressing, covered in Parmesan out of a shake can, rather than fresh shaved, and French onion soup was flavorless. The soup was also covered in Parmesan on top that was burnt, which was strange because it never had Parmesan on it before. Only giving this place 2 stars because the staff is always kind and the location is awesome. I had the same experience last time I was in town, but wanted to give it another try. Unfortunately, the food isn’t great anymore.

First time going here and will never go back. After waiting well over an hour, the kids food finally arrived. The kids were almost done eating before my wife and my order came out. Her food was cold and mine was wrong. Another 15 minutes, still waiting on my order, so I spoke with the MOD. She was nice and comped our meals but the service and food left something to be desired. Horrible first impression.

This place has DELICIOUS food! I go all over buncombe, McDowell, and Burke county for work and this place has the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. Prices aren’t bad for the great quality of food, view of the river while you eat is nice and the staff was attentive. Will definitely be coming back.
