What a delicious burger! I only order a burger once or twice a year, and man, this one was delicious. The sour beer I had was good also, and I appreciate that they sold the little glasses. Great Saturday night dinner and drink when have a nearby reunion with a friend.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give the food a 5. I had a rice bowl and my partner had a patty melt. After hearing good things about Hillman's, we were surprised to be so underwhelmed. Maybe it's because we ordered take-out, but shouldn't the food be good anyway? Maybe you have to have to have a beer buzz going to think it's praise-worthy.

Hillman beer was off the charts. This is a great place to sit by a river, drink a beer with the person you enjoy and watch the trout swim underneath you. They had wonderful food. The service was outstanding and you bet your butt I will be back.

Great stop for a fine selection of micro brewed beers and casual eats. Wide variety of freshly brewed beers for every taste preference. We shared a flight of beers that included a Robust Porter, Saison, German Kolsch and German Hefeweizen. They were all outstanding! Also really enjoyed a perfectly prepared Corned Beef Reuben sandwich and Falafel Wrap. All around a very enjoyable experience.

We finally got to try this place! It was awesome! Wish I could remember the bartenders name but she was great! Tried a flight of beer and liked each one of them! They had a sour which did not sound appealing at all! So glad we tried it! Food was good too! Got the patty melt and pimento cheese dip! We will so go back again!
My sister and I drove 40 mins to Hillman and we’re so glad we did. The food, beverage and atmosphere were all great. She had the turkey salad sandwich and home chips; I had the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had right here in the state of NC. We sat out by the river and enjoyed the nice view and slight breeze. Also commendable is how friendly everyone, employees and patrons, were. The employees were a hardworking group of youngsters! We were very impressed with how well the establishment is managed and how dedicated the staff seem to be! It was well worth the drive for us and we will do it again!

Was heading home after a day's fishing in the area and looking for a place to eat. Stopped at Hillman's and couldn't be happier. As my fishing buddy and I were standing near the bar with that "deer in the headlights" look, an employee came over and greeted us. We got a thorough explanation of how the ordering process worked as well as a helpful explanation of the beverage and food menu. The recommendations were spot on. Huge shout-out to TONI for the assist. Great vibe in this taproom, great food and brews. Would recommend with no hesitation.

Nice brewery in downtown Old Fort. Food was good. I had a pimento cheese dip appetizer. They have a big selection of beers and lots of wraps and sandwiches.

We stopped in while passing through on I-40. They have a huge space in an old warehouse of sorts along an old mill stream. We shared a flight of some of their best. We both liked the Honig Gottin. I also enjoyed the Tybaivid. A waiter presented us with a fifth option, a sample of their Robust Porter, which seemed to be fresher and was pleasant enough. As men of a certain age, the bartender and I bonded over common rock tours experienced and common regrets over aging rock stars. And great beer.

We stopped here for lunch driving back from the mountains with our dog. The bar is very dog friendly and we could bring him in to dine with us. We ordered food from the bar and it was delivered to our table. Service was friendly and prompt. We both got salads and they were very good. Nice selection of good beers on tap as well. Conveniently right off the interstate, we will definitely stop here again.
