Hard NO! We tried to eat here but our party was split up (that was fine). My daughter got her food 15 minutes after her friends were served and our entrees never came after waiting 70 minutes. People were returning incorrect take out orders and the wait staff were totally overwhelmed. Sad to say this because we like supporting small and local but this place was a disaster.

As much as I’ve heard about how great kin2kin is, it was an ok place to eat. I wouldn’t come here to eat Japanese food. The hibachi flavor definitely isn’t there. The portions were good size. The place is rather small. People had to wait for tables just like us. The service was nice. The best dish there was probably the miso soup. The salad was bitter for some reason. Would I go again? No.

Took half an hour after I was seated to even get water. Then towards the end of my meal I went to the bathroom and upon my return there were three strangers there and my food I had left was gone too! Not the first time I had problems there. The service ruined my time there…

Stopped in for a quick bite, ordered sushi and entrees. Never got our sushi, was told they didn't turn in the ticket yet somehow it was on my check. The waitress never refilled our glasses not once, food was ok, not the usual portion for a Japanese restaurant, and the price reflects that, but again nothing special. If you're in Morganton just go somewhere else.

great food but AWFUL service!!!!! we’ve been here for 45 minutes and got our drinks about 15 minutes ago. (we ordered our food at the same time) and people who came in after us got their food before us.

Have eaten here before and had some nice scallops a year ago. I decided to try it again this year and asked if I could have noodles instead of rice with no upcharge and they said sure but when they came in the bill they charged me $2 more for some spaghetti. Instead of fried rice. I didn't think anything of it because she said there's no problem to substitute it. Anyway, my food came. The scallops were dried out and hard. Food was way overcooked and all I did was sit in a booth looking at a blackish wall. I asked about the $2 overcharge and the lady at the counter said that's just what we do. Enjoy your $2 overcharge. That's not the problem. It should have been taken off or told in the beginning that there is a $2 up charge. Good luck. I don't think I'll be back and I won't recommend you

We got seated right away and ordered my drink and food all at the same time. What I didn't like is that it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and appetizers. They also over cooked my food and got my husband's food wrong. Our server never checked on us but with her other table she had she was on top over everything with them. It will be a little while before I will go back.

Called in a take out order and was told it would be about 25 mins—no problem. My husband gets there around the 25 minute mark and waits for an hr for our food. Several other carry out orders come in after him that had no issue with their orders being ready. He watched multiple families come in for dine in after him that ate and left while he was sitting there. When the young lady went to check on it, he was told there was an issue with the ticketing system on our order and it must have not fired the ticket. Odd that it would occur only with our order but not out of the realm of possibility. After waiting that long, if our food had been hot and tasted great it would have helped make up for some of the wait. That was not the case. We live less than 10mins away and our food was not hot and was pretty bland. The young ladies at the front were apologetic and we understand it is not their fault. They are the reason the service score is a 2 and not a 1. It was an overall disappointing experience. In this case, a manager coming out to address my husband about the wait, apologize and try to see how they can rectify the situation would have meant a lot. We haven’t written the restaurant off completely because we know that everywhere makes mistakes but it will be a while before we consider returning.

The two times I have tried to like this place just disappointing! First time sushi was not as described and rice was mushy ! Second time cabbage rolls were thin and small… literally nothing inside!!! Literally just could have got my own frozen rolls from grocery store would have been better!Why can’t they get it together!!! Chefs who work there must not be skilled in Japanese!
