If you want a taste of some classic Italian cooking with a very homey atmosphere this is the spot for you. The folks here almost feel like friends. Very chill atmosphere and not a chain restaurant vibe. It seems like a family run business, at least it definitely has that vibe and I like it.

Our waitresses was amazing, the salad bar was excellent. The cheese stick pizza was delicious.

We had a great meal I just wish we would have gotten one entree portions were enough for both of us. Now we have dinner for tomorrow Yeah I don't have to cook tomorrow either

The worst pizza place I have been to. The pizza bar was subpar. Non buffet food took an hour. My daughter's birthday and her loopy grandma suggested the place. I ordered her favorite 'chicken tenders" first to ensure birthday girl would get her food because her grandma starved us before dinner. After 15 minutes every one else was full off the pizza barf. I patiently wait another 30 minutes at this point my now 6 year old is really hungry. Conversation with her loopy grandma about why she suggested this place did not go well. Our server who I now see again for the second time of our visit tell me that tendies take a while. I thought dang maybe lead with that first when someone is hungry. She states it is how we cook them. I am now curious "how do you cook them'. She exclaims we run them through the pizza conveyor like 30 times we don't have a fryer and then she winked. Curiosity turned to furiosity I leave loopy and go to car to get starving birthday girl a snack. To my surprise two cooks are outside smoking. I thought to myself I hope these are not the same guys that are touching my daughter's tendies 30 times or more. Finally food arrived daughter's birthday dinner served an hour an 15 minutes after ordering. To make matters worse my daughter states and I quote "worst tendies in the world"! Nice location they should put a real restaurant I suggest CiCi's Pizza

This was our first visit to Maria’s, and we were pleasantly surprised ! Definitely will return again!I ordered the baked ziti (which was a generous portion) $9.95. My husband ordered a pizza so we could have leftovers for home. Their marinara sauce is great. Slightly sweet, which I love! They also have a salad bar- this alone is worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to Morganton!Oh, and although we arrived too early for the buffet, they do have lunch and dinner buffets. Very impressed with the variety on the bar (they were putting out pizzas etc for the buffet as we were leaving).Nice experience, nice atmosphere, and a unique setting. Little difficult to find unless you’re familiar with the town. We drove by it twice before seeing the name on the building sign. (See photo)

One of our favorite restaurants to eat at. The food is delicious and always fresh. The owners are so friendly and will always come to your table and check on you. The servers are the best. They are always on top of getting you what you need. These people genuinely care not just about doing their job but also being caring, kind, and so personable. When you eat here, you are guaranteed an awesome time.

This place is okay. We waited over 40 minutes for a turkey sandwich and a chicken sandwich, the fries were soggy and a few were still cold/partially frozen on the inside. The atmosphere is similar to a pizza hut and their choice to operate a salad bar during a pandemic is questionable. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant.

Pizzas weren't of edible quality on bar dried up where they had been sitting so long. There was only cheese and pepperoni as well. Told the waitress and for us to get a fresh pizza we had to pay a dollar each. So we requested one and thats the only one we ate. Wasn't worth the almost $60 bill. Use to be a good place to eat.

Maria's Italian Eatery in Morganton has went down hill terribly. 100% done with this restaurant. Service has gotten worse last few times. We waited for 20 minutes for them to seat us. Plenty of free tables, and plenty of wait staff. Maria and her husband wrapped up in each other's arms in the kitchen not caring to manage thir restaurant. We have eaten there weekly for years, but WILL NOT BE BACK!
