OK let me be honest.I've been a loyal customer who kept coming back to this restaurant.Not because of their service, and not because of their atmosphere.The essence of a spicy hotpot is the spicy broth.While I'll admit all other hotpot restaurants nearby are superior in service and atmosphere....12 Ji is just in a league of its own in terms of broth.I know they can't survive on broth alone. Service and even food selection/quality are going to drop if business doesn't pick up.I hope they can turn it around and keeping the legendary broth in the Raleigh area. Looks unlikely as the owner doesn't seem to have a clue how to, after all this time.But I hope.

Spent over $30 per person, and still very hungry - I am someone who usually gets filled up with one bubble tea. At this price point, I’m expecting higher quality food and experience. However from interior decor to service to food quality and quantity, I am very disappointed and feels this place is very over priced. I am someone that can enjoy amazing $6 gas station food, and also $600 3-star Michelin experience, but to me this restaurant does not meet the expectations of their price point. Hopefully they will listen and make some changes in the future.

Very good meat and really flavorful broth. Definitely hit the spot. The place was empty when we went in but that did not ruin it for us. Just went on a holiday weekend so not many people out. Will definitely go back:)

I went here after they opened about half an year. I waited for an hour to get my dishes served, staffs were running busy but don’t know why they ignored my table. After an hour I almost finished my eating, they still owned me a couple of dishes. Food is fine, but the service has huge potential for improvement.

Me and my friends went to try hotpot for the first time. We walked in and the store was completely empty yet the “waiter” seemed like he wanted to do anything but help us. He walked away from us while we were actively talking to him, the prices are outrageous and the digital menu was almost impossible to navigate. We left before we even ate so I can’t comment on the food.

Fresh food, filling portions. Ordered a combo for 2-3 people. The food came out quick and it was a great deal especially with our Groupon. Fun experience!
We always enjoy the food here! Such a fun experience all around. Love being sat by the robot and ordering food from the iPad!

One of the most traditional and tasty hot pot I ever ate in America, taste just like my childhood back in Chengdu. Highly recommend their beef which has bunch of variety and the best quality I ever ate! Most importantly is super valuable highly recommend! ?

Before I went to 12 Ji, I found some bad reviews on the social media platform/Google map(e.g. expensive/bad service/umm food)Because of that, I didn’t ever plan to go to this place for eating hot pot. However, one of my lab mates went there and said this place was actually good in terms of their flavor and food. So yes, finally I want to give it a try.So here is my review:Pros:1) Great environment, more quite than other hotpot place, no need to wait to be seated.2) Lots of food choice, the flavor and soup are actually really great for me, I can say that their soup base quality are very good. They have very special meat choice of high quality and taste wonderful!3) Price are quite fair, it’s similar compared with Szechuan Mansion Hotpot.4) My boyfriend really like their vegetable mix since it has more kinds of vegetables compared with other place.Cons:1) Some noise come from their machine.Other:Service is okay, not bad, I’ll give the service 3.5/5 star.Overall:4 star. I give 5 star due to other bad reviews which I do not understand. So the extra star is to encourage them and help them survive in the Triangle area so that I can have more options for hotpot.I will definitely come back for hotpot. But next time I expect there is NO noise problem.

This place was fantastic! Great service! Excellent food! I don't even like hot pot but we decided to go because he does like hot pot. Turns out I really loved it and it made a good experience for a second time trying it. I'm not an adventurous eater and I don't like to try new things. I consider this a win for us! We highly recommend this place for groups, families; and romantic date nights. The music was lovely. The food was authentic (you could tell). We loved everything we ordered. The decor was beautiful. Restrooms were clean. Service staff was friendly. You order everything on an app and they have mason jars. It was a perfect day! Thanks for making this a lovely dinner to our incredible server!
