Dharani South Indian Cuisine

Had food twice here, once for lunch, a good portion size Thali, it was good.Tonight I had idli and my friend had egg biryani which was good. Idli sambar chutney reminds me of my hometown Kundapura, similar tastes and texture. Staffs are good, interaction while ordering and payment was so positive, it feels divine to eat here.

The buffet lunch is gone, the waiters/service is terrible. The food taste good, but you have to order off the menu and the portions are small compared to the value you used to get at the buffet. The waiters never smiled the whole time, they refused to take the dirty plates off the table and he never came back after the food was served other than to give me the check. This place has gone way downhill fast. I’ve gone here for years, but after today I will never go there again.Response to the ownerI understand that we are in a pandemic and your restaurant is struggling like many across the country which is why I chose to support your restaurant. I also brought a friend to help support you. I truly understand your establishment needing to shut down the buffet, but there is simply no excuse for the poor service your waiters provided while we were in your establishment. In most cases this is caused by a lack of training, but your waiter flat out refused to clear the table of dirty dishes when I asked him to, so we could continue to enjoy our time in your restaurant. There is simply no excuse for that other than your staff being rude. The correct response from you should have been an apology and a willingness to correct the problem, not using the pandemic as an excuse for why the waiter refused to provide friendly prompt service. I will be sure to tell my friends and co-workers about my experience in your restaurant as well as your response.

Love the food here. Best we've had as a family.We've dined in several times as well as have a catered dinner for NYE. EVERY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN GREAT.The staff is friendly and happy to see return customers.

Had a large group of 12+ here for dinner. Firstly, making reservations was so easy, they were quick to communicate with me and were accommodating for a large group even though I couldn't give an exact number of attendees until the last minute. Our waiter during dinner was absolutely phenomenal. All of us love the cuisine but are novices and our waiter made great suggestions for each person. The food was fantastic, every bite truly amazing. I would order every single thing again. Everyone in the group now wants to make this a tradition, we will all definitely be back.

The food is decent here but the 3 stars is because of a recent incident I had there. In all my years of eating at an Indian restaurant I have NEVER had anyone offer me a store bought or generic hot sauce! Usually the food is either made spicy or they have an in house hot sauce to add to the food! This past week they gave me packets of Louisiana Hot Sauce! At first I thought it was some joke but nope it was for real! WOWZERS That is a big NO NO! Oh boy...

Dharani was a great location to celebrate my wife's birthday! The staff was extremely helpful in planning right from choosing the menu and helping with the decor. Rakesh especially helped coordinate the event and make it a success! Would definitely recommend Dharani and its staff.

Remains the best South Indian food I’ve had on the east coast. And impressively they have stayed true to their roots over the six years I’ve been eating here. Their weekend buffets are a must visit. And they are conscientious about hygiene and physical distancing during the pandemic (e.g., have gloves for customers to wear while at the buffet).

After pandemic, Customers came back again.I enjoy true Indian cuisine. I enjoy the variety and volume of dishes. The clerk quickly noticed the change additional water and dishes on our table, and I mistook on payment today but the clerk said no problem with great smile. Thanks , I will come back again.

Had Buffett Lunch. Great selection and plentiful items. Great service . Overall tasteWas very authentic.

Saturday buffet's are their speciality. Fresh and delicious with lots of varieties! Good ambience and great customer service.

Absolutely delicious Indian food! They've got a lot of competition in the area and this is definitely one of the best. The restaurant is also very fancy and clean. Friendly staff too. I'll be back!

Won’t recommend this Indian restaurant. You will find better food elsewhere. Most of these reviews with this restaurant are not what’s reality. Save your money and stay away from this horrible place.

Pathetic food and service.I agree with earlier comments they should give some training to waiters how to behave with customers.Today went their for Buffet and everything was over and waiter was not responding properly they said if you want to give 1 rating we are good will get more +ve rating,We dont care about ratings.Genuinely 2 months back I gave 5* rating but have to change to 1* today.I saw quality and service downgraded that shows in all recent reviews.Didnt like the food and at price of Buffet I had to eat daal-rice,Won't recoomend this place to friends or anyone....

Great food! Enjoy! Live thé variety of the buffet… especially, they will make Dosa!
