Taipei Cafe

I really try to not give bad reviews, but dinner last night was such a disappointment. I've read a lot of other reviews of this place and a lot of people seem to have really good experiences here. I don't know what happened last night, but that was definitely not the case.

Service was really good.
Atmosphere is strip mall casual. Not very warm or inviting. Clean.

Three of us were there for dinner.

All of us were very disappointed in everything we ordered except for the garlic bok choy, which was delicious (but overpriced for the amount we received). We got some rangoons as an appetizer. They were quite small and not very crispy and the dipping sauce was way too sweet.

None of the entrees were much above room temperature. The beef and bitter melon my friend got had hardly any beef. My wife's sesame chicken was extremely underwhelming. Rubbery and bland. The chicken dish I got was extremely dry, had no vegetables, and was dying for some sorry of sauce.

We really wanted to like this place. We will not be back.

I didn’t know they had a new owner & ordered my go-to moo goo gai pan. It has no vegetables at all and has a brown sauce. Not the same. While it had a lot of meat, it’s not what I wanted. And the crispy wonton strips were stale.

The dry-pot cauliflower at this Taipei cafe shop was very generous in portion. The Cantonese roast duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—absolutely delicious! The owner was very nice; I'll definitely come again!

Great restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Genuine Chinese recipe, especially the dishes for vegetarians. I like the roasted duck over there very much. The services are nice and quick.

The food at Taipei Café is absolutely amazing! The Peking duck is incredibly delicious — crispy skin, tender meat, and full of flavor. The salty egg fish is definitely their signature dish and a must-try! All the other dishes are generous in portion and truly yummy. The new team is very friendly, and the service is fast and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves authentic and satisfying Chinese food!

This used to be the best Chinese in the area hands down. The new ownership is dramatically worse. More expensive, less food, and bland dishes.

Incredible food! The roast duck is a must order, crispy skin and juicy meat. If you are looking for spicy food, you can find some good choices here too. We had the beef hor fun and it was fantastic. Highly recommend this spot.

Came here for dinner the other night with friends, food came out quickly and was great! Service was also super friendly.
