Decided last weekend to take my 10 year old daughter to visit this location, as I'd been there in the past and been impressed with their selection. After driving over an hour to get there, we arrived one full hour before their advertised closing time.

The doors were closed and locked when we arrived. After I pulled on the door, a man inside unlocked and opened the door and stated "We're closed". I informed him that I had just chosen this individual location as my singular destination and driven over an hour to get there for my daughter so she could enjoy what they had to offer. He offered no apology. Just shrugged, and shut the door back in our faces and flipped the deadbolt.

Mind you, we immediately went two doors down to another candy shop that actually operated during their posted hours, where we received excellent service and spent over $200, completing our visit in less than 20 minutes, taking the photo you see attached to this review. I believe the name of their competitor that actually remained open during their posted business hours was called "Opie's". You should check them out. Highly recommend.

This is such a fun, festive gift shop! It's definitely a must see if you're visiting Mt. Airy. My family and I always make a point to stop by each time we're in the area. They've got every candy you could possibly imagine, as well as several varieties of fudge. They also have plenty of sweatshirts, T shirts, DVDs, and Christmas ornaments featuring the Andy Griffith Show. There is also a section of stuffed animals. I would highly recommend coming to this cute gift shop if you are in the area! You won't be disappointed! ☺️

I can't say enough good things about this awesome gift shop! First of all, the atmosphere is so happy, fun, and festive! They have sooo many types of candy and fudge available. The fudge varieties I tried were delicious!

They also have a wide variety of gifts and novelties based on the Andy Griffith Show. You can find lots of T shirts, sweatshirts, DVDs, and Christmas ornaments. They also have a section of stuffed animals.

I highly recommend you check out this cute gift shop! Every time my family and I visit Mount Airy, we make a point to stop in this shop. I can't recommend it enough!

We were in town for vacation. We bought raspberry truffles, the outside chocolate was good but the inside didn't taste like raspberries. We bought banana pudding fudge, it was dry and didn't taste like bananas. It was just like eating wax. So A LOT of money wasted.

I loved the white chocolate truffle especially the wedding cake one! I wish yall made cake pops or maybe you do and I didn't see them?? I wasn't a fan of any of the chocolate it didn't have the right taste for my liking. But I love the store and will definitely be coming back to try other things ✨️?

Just got my fudge in this morning and couldn’t wait to give it a try. It was amazing. Best fudge I’ve ever had.

I was also very impressed by the care put into the packaging process.

Lastly it’s great to see that the business is veteran owned.
