Bear Creek is a charming store that offers a variety of sweet treats, trinkets, souvenirs, and gifts. The reasoning behind the one star is due to moldy fudge. We purchased prepackaged fudge, and when we opened it, the fudge was molded.

Someone Im assuming the owner was eavesdropping on a private conversation between my friends and I over the overpriced chocolate covered pecans I was simply there for a trinket I had seen. We were way back of the store away from everyone. This guy pops out of an almost hidden private room to nearly berate me, arms crossed and all, over me saying if my friend wanted food to just go to Walmart. I suppose I struck a nerve I chose not to engage as I thought it unwise to feed into he seemed to want a confrontation the way he was posturing behind me.

It was such an odd experience. Pretty unprofessional I was already buying something who cares what I say. They definitely seem argumentative towards customers judging from some of these reviews so Im assuming its a trend I don't care if its a local business or not in this economy. I can speak as I please you weren't my audience.

I had bought a 8oz piece of peanut butter fudge from the Autumn Leaves Festival and am pretty disappointed in the product. It cost $8 and apparently I had different expectations. It was way too gooey. I had the expectations that it would kinda melt in your mouth, similar to homemade. The peanut butter taste was minimal in my opinion. I hope they have other good products because this ain't it.

Would’ve loved to try some delicious looking truffles, however, the gentleman working the counter during the Autumn leaves festival was so rude I just decided to walk out. He asked me if I had any questions but when I attempted to ask if you guys had bulk prices I was talked to like a dog. Even the strangers around me were shocked by his behavior. Unfortunate. Good luck with that guy! I’ll leave an extra star bc I’m sure the candy is good.

Been going to this store for years. Great selection of products. Lots of flavors of candy and fudge. Yard flags. Love their selection of earrings. Something for everyone. One of my favorite stores. Guarantee you will not come out empty handed. Friendly and helpful staff also.

I went in Bear Creek Gifts and Bear Creek Fudge Factory to buy a tee shirt. I was looking for an X large men’s shirt. I found one that I wanted to buy and the sizes were all mixed up. I was looking in the section labeled X large and saw mediums and xx large shirts but no X large. As I was pulling out the shirts to try to find the correct size, some man out of no where walks up and said I believe the shirts are placed in the correct sizes. I told him they were not and were all mixed together with different sizes. He apparently works or owns Bear Creek but his customer service was the worse ever! Instead of asking may I help you find what you are looking for..he was very rude. Needless to say, I told him that I wasn’t trying to mess his shirts up and walked out. Happily to say I went a few doors down and found the shirt I wanted and it was a few dollars cheaper. Also, the guy that checked me out was very polite!! 😀

Great store with a huge selection. Good prices on fudge but not that great. I wish I had spent my money on something more tasty.

Decided last weekend to take my 10 year old daughter to visit this location, as I'd been there in the past and been impressed with their selection. After driving over an hour to get there, we arrived one full hour before their advertised closing time.

The doors were closed and locked when we arrived. After I pulled on the door, a man inside unlocked and opened the door and stated "We're closed". I informed him that I had just chosen this individual location as my singular destination and driven over an hour to get there for my daughter so she could enjoy what they had to offer. He offered no apology. Just shrugged, and shut the door back in our faces and flipped the deadbolt.

Mind you, we immediately went two doors down to another candy shop that actually operated during their posted hours, where we received excellent service and spent over $200, completing our visit in less than 20 minutes, taking the photo you see attached to this review. I believe the name of their competitor that actually remained open during their posted business hours was called "Opie's". You should check them out. Highly recommend.
