“Best milk shakes and hamburgers. Really, step back in time and soak in the atmosphere sitting at metal table and chairs looking at the old counter with metal stools, fantastic friendly service. The shakes are served in a tall glass , whipped cream, and a cherry on top along with a whole another shake in the metal container that made it in. What a treat.”

“This place is a gem! I have no idea how we had never heard of this place before. We ordered some twister fries as an appetizer, and they were yummy. Ordered the Sierra chicken, and oh man. absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, and perfectly seasoned. A huge amount of melted cheese! The bread that came with it was incredible. Our calzone was top notch. The marinara was perfect. Will absolutely be returning in the future.”

“I don't care where you're from, this is one of those places that should go on your bucket list if you like vintage small town charm. And worth the trip to get off the highway. Their signature sandwich is ground steak on a bun with slaw, tomato and pepper. (onions optional) Delicious. Has most other burger / dairy bar fare if that doesn't trip your trigger. Very fast, fresh & friendly. Ice cream too.”

“If you haven't been to Twilight Farm Shoppe, what are you waiting for? Amy does an incredible job on everything she makes. The sourdough breads are top notch and she has one for every occasion. The brownies, cookies, and bars are melt in your mouth delicious and perfect for a pick me up, gift or dessert. She also has selections for those with certain allergies. If you don't see something that you like, ask Amy and she can make it happen. 10 out of 10 recommend her for any of your bread or dessert needs.”

“I have to say this was the best sandwich I have ever had from subway. I always get the exact same thing and I get it toasted. Usually the ends of the bread are hard as a rock, but not this time. The young man working there this morning must know something everyone else that works there don't. The bread was toasted absolutely perfect, just crispy enough and still nice and soft. I don't know the boys name but I would like to say thanks for the awesomeness. I'm definitely going there on lunch break again before we head back to Kentucky. Thanks”

“My fiancé and I had with no exaggeration, the best meal we have had in Mount Airy since moving here a few years ago, at Plaza Del Sol. He had the birria quesotacos (highly recommended!) and I had the California fajitas. We shared the chorizqueso appetizer and it was fantastic. The food was very well seasoned, fresh, and overall delicious. The service was fantastic, our waitress was bubbly and attentive and we were also helped by no less than three other servers just as competently. I never had to wait for a refill on my drinks! We will be back to try more menu items soon!”

Since then we have returned a million times (now as husband and wife) and the only thing that has changed is a few of the servers. Our children love it here and the staff are great with them.”

The Curry was surprisingly sweet with notes of cinnamon and slight hints of spice thats not overly spicy, more so warm and pleasant. It's always been a go to but the Pho was a nice change up. With the side variety of Basil, bean sprouts, *lime, and a spicy sauce, you can customize this dish to your own liking.
*the lime was kinda over powering in the Pho so add in small amounts.”

“Stopped here today and got a bunch of treats for a road trip to Charlotte with my husband. Was so excited to find somewhere with gluten free treats for me. Especially excited about the apple pie. I give the food 5 stars. However the young lady that served me did not seem like she wanted to be at work. Was put out because I asked for gluten free treats, and was put out that we asked for milkshakes and she had to make them. Had a grumpy look on her face and a snippy tone in her voice the entire transaction and made us less than comfortable. I realize it was Mayberry Day (which we were not aware of when we planned our trip) but a little niceness goes a long way. She also slammed my frozen apple pie on the counter and broke the crust. Hopefully this isn’t the norm.”

“I don't like cooked carrots....you HAVE to get the cooked sweet carrots here. They WERE delicious! What a great hidden gem in Mt Airy. Well worth the drive. Excellent food, great service, cool atmosphere with 70s and 80s classic rock playing. Egg rolls were very tasty. Tacos were full with shrimp and veggies and the fries were perfectly done. Singapore noodles and shrimp were awesome too.”
