the deli sandwiches are great
We stopped at the General Store for lunch on our way to Mount airy to ride the trolley. I had the corned beef sandwich with potato salad and fountain drink and it was delicious and enough to bring half home for dinner. I also found root beer barrels which I love, highly recommend.

Food was great. Everyone working was happy smiling and was a joy. They have a lot of local things and a huge variety of stuff.

This store is such a gem! They have a great selection of unique items you won’t find anywhere else, from gifts to specialty products. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the food they offer is delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
Service is extraordinarily slow, prices are very high, and the Sammich workers tend to not be very friendly.
