Service was ok. The steak was tough and flavorless. The ONS board was underwhelming. The atmosphere is nice but not enough to make up for the lacking food. If you are looking for a nice dinner and willing to pay a higher price, take your money elsewhere.

Had the brisket burger and it was amazing. Will come here again.

From the time we sat down at 5 for a wine tasting (2 flights) ordered appetizers and then dinner around 6:15 … Jenna took AMAZING care of us. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I can’t wait to have an experience here again!

I was looking for a place to take my friend for Valentine's dinner and I picked the Old North State winery. I am very glad I did ? The service was excellent and spot on. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs (I have Celiac disease and have to be careful with what I can eat) she was also very knowledgeable and if didn't know the answer to our questions was able to get the information from the chef. The atmosphere was incredible

The oyster appetizer was delicious. I'm a raw oyster lover and it was great twist for me with oysters. My wife's sea bass and my sirloin tips were delicious. Portions were good.

Our first experience here was a Valentine's Day dinner with a prix fixe menu.My wife & I fully understand the difficulties of such a production, and we only came into it expecting good drinks with a decent atmosphere...... what we found was an amazing town, phenomenal food, and a staff that belongs anywhere they'd want to serve.Really, really good experience and we'll be back from Winston-Salem. Well worth the commute.Clean, courteous, knowledgeable and tasty!

The food was great and the service was excellent. I don't remember the young lady's name but she was 26 approx with brown hair. Very very polite with yes Mam yes sir etc. You don't hear that much anymore. The hostess noticed the floor wasn't swept well under our table and offered to move us to another table and insisted but we hadn't noticed and didn't mind. The wine was good and the dessert hit the spot with coffee and expresso.

The atmosphere is just right...lively but not too loud. The food tone that was delicious. I had a ribeye and my wife enjoyed the scallops over crab and bacon Mac and Cheese. The service is always outstanding and keeps us coming back.

Went to ONSW for a little pre-Xmas celebration. The only negative comments were for our food. Overall the meals were good but on the blah side. There didn't seem to be any memorable flavor. My fish was good but the gnocchi was bland. My partner got the crab cakes which said were good but she has had better. The sauces that were on her plate had no flavor. Overall we enjoy dining but left wishing we had tried something else or gone somewhere else. We might be back to try it again....maybe.

Every bit of our experience was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the wine was wonderful, the seating was private and quiet, the portions were plenty. We had a great time.

Food was amazing and service was A1. I differently would recommend.

My daughter and I split the 24oz Porterhouse Steak special and had a nice Italian wine. It was the best steak either of had in years. Our server Beasley, was superb! Everything was great, including the ganache dessert. My only suggestion would be to have cloth napkins. When you are the best restaurant in town and pay $50 a plate, then a nice napkin is in order.

Atmosphere and service were great. Waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tomato soup was out of this world.

We didn't see the wine flight on the menu, but my husband knew about it from reading in advance. It was a nice flight, but they could promote it a bit more. My egg roll was a bit on the greasy side. However my oyster salad was extremely good. The place has a nice vibe and we had an enjoyable lunch and a nice walk around Mount Airy.

If you are visiting Mt. Airy you are probably going to have lunch at one of the cute touristy diners. But if you are more inclined to have a different type of lunch this is an fair alternative. The 3 stars are due to my meal.....not sure if it's a one-off problem. I ordered the soup/salad/grilled cheese combo. Salad was basic. The soup was tasty but just lukewarm. My main issue was the grilled cheese.....not much cheese, no butter on the bread for grilling, and worse of all not hot or melted! The cheese was so under heated that it didn't even hold the bread together! How can you not be able to grill a cheese sandwich properly? The waitress, Morgan, was very nice but she was flying around like crazy.... probably spread too thin. She deserves kudos because we never had to wait for service....good job. My husband ordered the burger and it seemed fine but he felt the fries were soggy. He also ordered the tomato soup for a starter. It was also not very hot and I thought it was in a giant bowl considering it was just a cup of soup....looked a little silly.
