first and foremost I will say I called for a refund because the money i spent i could have definitely went somewhere else. thankful the manager on duty understood. but this place has gone down hill the last 10 years. the owner opening another restaurant (different name) in pilot probably not the best idea. the food had no flavor and tasted old. and they got my order wrong. im sad because this use to be the soooo sooo good. now I dont know how they stay open.
Firstly, they messed up my order. I double checked the email receipt. Secondly, it had no flavor. And i dont mean like oh it needed to be spicy I mean it tasted like I was eating nothing. It has gone down hill bad. I dont know how they stay open.

Truly disappointed. It’s way too expensive to be such poor quality.
The food is very good. Service is good as well. It's a bit pricey for a take out spot. The restaurant is tiny, so I can't recommend eating there unless you eat outside, but that is essentially the parking lot.
Good food inn or take out
Tried to place an order over the phone and the girl who answered said, “Shikora, please hold.” I was left on hold for over 20 minutes and no one ever came back to the line, so I ended up hanging up without being able to order. I’ve never had a business completely forget I was on hold before lol. I’ve been hearing similar complaints from others—longer wait times and service going downhill since they started hiring only teens. Shikora used to be a go-to choice for me, but not anymore. Really hope they can get this figured out.
This use to be our go to, unfortunately we will be finding something better, the steak is low quality and always tough, tonight’s plates were half of what we typically get, maybe a 1/4 cup of rice some plates less that that. Chicken and vegetables plate a spoonful of vegetables, The chicken is bland and tough as well. The prices have gone up and portions and quality have gone down. Get new people in there to cook bc the constant teenagers there couldn’t care less. This place has really gone down hill.

I usually don’t do reviews but this one is one that needs to be addressed. I went in for dinner last night, placed my order, and while waiting for the order, the three-four boys that were working were making sex sounds, moaning as loud as the possibly could, making sounds as if they need to throw up, slamming things. I’m sorry but if you are going to work you need to be professional. I ended up asking for a refund due to the unprofessional and the unknown of what they are actually doing with the food. Also the phone kept ringing and not a single one of the employees would answer, might be due to the headphones they were wearing. Awful immature service.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Now the prices have went up tremendously, yet the food portions have decreased. I had barely any meat or veggies in my chicken and mixed veggies plate the last 3 times I’ve went—it’s been almost all rice. I’m unfortunately going to have to go to a new Japanese place.
I used to love Shikora and recommended it to everyone, but unfortunately, it’s just not what it used to be. The prices are shockingly high for an express, in-and-out style restaurant—comparable to Arigato, but without the quality or experience to back it up. And unlike other Japanese grills, there’s no salad or soup included.
The flavor was practically non-existent. The chicken was dry and bland, tasting like the only seasoning was black pepper. The white sauce was decent, but it couldn’t cover up the lackluster taste. I’m sad to say that this place has really gone downhill. For the price, I expected much better. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.
Staff was kind!

While this place lost the charm it once had with the original owners, the food is still pretty good. I cant say it necessarily tastes Japanese anymore but it still hits the spot honestly.
